Ok I have a question on guildwars untilities.
I've been given the name and links to 3 utilities that have been posted on our guild forum. Before i ok them I'd think it best i ask you guys if they are cochure or not. Not knowing myself i don't want to lose my online password because of a silly download.
The names are
Guildwars Arcane. (skill compedium apparently)
The edge. (build designer)
GW freaks. (team pvp build designer)
I'm not going to post the links here as its blatently going to be against forum rules or something and tbh thats why i want your guys advice.
Are these ok or not?

My experience with "helper programs" from playing other games has always been (and will always continue to be)
risk of getting hacked > benefit from helpful programs
All the info you could ever want can be found in forums here, Guildwiki, or from just playing and learning.

It would be cool if someone designed a program which meant u could switch between armor as easily as u can between weapons. ![Smile](../Img/smile.gif)
But thats slightly off-topic...

GWfreaks is pretty good, I've never heard of the other two.

Same as Sav.
Also use GWFreaks, it's the best I know.
But the other two I never heard of. Care to link up?

I use GWFreaks app as well. I think it would best if you have a firewall app turned on. Like for example, ZoneAlarm, it alerts you if a certain program is trying to access the internet, you have the option to approve or deny the access.

Ok cheers for that lads, also sorry for posting in wrong area :?
Well i may give gwfreaks a bash then as for the others it may be a case of turning all my security up and giving them a run on my pc. If the last 2 turn out ok i'll link them otherwise I don't want to be seen spreading malicous exe's

I never run programs like that if I am unsure of what it does. One way to check is to run it in a sandbox environment. For those that have Virtual PC you know what I mean. On a sidenote those that do have Virtual PC a good experiment is to leave it unpatched and see how fast it craps it pants.
