Sigil Scam

Hey guys, yesterday I was in the district 53 of Ascalon and I believe I came upon a Scammer.

He was auctioning to sell a Guildhall for 10k, so I PMed him. I said I didnt have all the money, but I could give him 8k for the Sigil, he said that would be fine and for me to meet him at Storage. Then I realised I only had like 7.1k and told him. He said that was okay as well, he asked me what my Guildname was, Who was the Leader of my Guild, and some other things. But as far as the trading went he wanted me to give him the 7.1k before he activated the Sigil. My question is, I thought a Celestial Sigil was a tangable item, He said he had to activate it, and it would work 2 minutes after he did. So was this a scam? I ended up not buying the guild hall.

Yes this is a scam
Celestial Sigil is a item that you can put in your inventory and what not.
Normally they sell for 15k to 20k but he doesnt have to active it, your guild leader does.

Scammer, hopefully you recorded his name and reported him.

For the sake of puplic knowledge (and mine) how do you report people?

lol i would say try /bug report i am not sure how to report it though

Im not sure if there is a way ingame, but you could go to the guild wars support and report them.
