Wireless disconnecting/ net error 7

Hi,

Sometimes when I'm playing on the computer that has a wireless router on it, it lags for a second and then continues. Even worse, it occasionally gives me a net error 7 and the internet is disconnected, but then reconnects after a bit. On the computer that uses a wired connection straight to the router, it does not disconnect or lag.

Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Extra notes:
I can pick up a weak wireless frequency, possibly a neighbor's connection.
I can't find my manual for the router and don't know how to work routers.
I've got a linksys router.

Thanks in advance

your having latency issues, it might not even be your router but just your ISp provider having lagg issues! Also do you leave your router on for extended periods of time, If so it is adviseable to shut off your router and restart periodically to ensure optimotum conectivity to your ISp network!! Also the same goes for your PC, shutdown reboot, usually will resolve problems with routers!!! Give it try!!!

Oh and a word of advice its not really beneficial to play via wireless coinnection for online games due to the massvie amount s of data transfer!!!!
Just my opinion!!!

Is the router right next to the computer? If not you are either 1) weak signal 2) as 4runner said ISP is laggin or 3)reboot, it'll restart router and reset data. Also i use a linksys for my comp which is 3 floors below the actual router and I haven't Error 7 'ed for a loong time.
