yes, i personally find i get better drops killing 1 at a time with SV. i use SS when mobs are huge and killing them 1 by 1 will take forever.

i farm a lot using both skills, and i try to use spoil victor whenever i can, because i've noticed drops are better when you kill 1 at a time,...
