I'm surprised none of the Germans pointed out in that old thread, that there's a grammar mistake in that weapon's name.

Hundred Blades does not deliver any additional attacks only physical damage, which is why attack related effects only occur to your current target.

What I meant is that you still do the quest, just don't talk to the npc in the mission outpost, leave it in your questlog or whatever.
