Nope. Lots of guilds who regularly use forums post the link. It's a nice way to let potential recruits know more about the guild/alliance.

Some do-the point is so you can spec. your spear higher. However you can work just fine with a req9 shield and a major spear rune.

In Arachni's in NM I got one of the lvl14 spiders to drop a req7/AL14 Reinforced (purp. too) so that's one spot to try and find one. And...
