If you visit Lions Arch, and look for the NPC Lionguard Figo He will give you a quest for your first hero! Olias! He is a lvl 15 Necromancer....

All my green staffs mods have disappeared. Only have the casting/recharge mods. Any energy enchanting armor and whatnot have disappeared.
