Death leveling with pet?

Thanks guys. I kind of want to bring me pet with me though , It should level along with me as i DL cus i want a level 20 hearty black bear O.o

I'm just wondering if Death Leveling in Pre-Searing is sped up at all with the addition of a pet? i thought i heard that it doesn't speed...
