We all know that when you dont have gold/platinum and you really want a service, you tend to exchange an item of the service. Hell, I've done it tons of times. In these instances the item, in this case an ecto, is valued at the cost of the run. So, for all you RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing MATH GENIUSES that seem to want to post your great arguements that 7k-5k=2k, well....
Run=5k
I offer an ecto in exchange for said run. Nothing mentioned about getting any money in return. Just that I'll give him an ecto for the run. This means that I just valued the ecto in question @ 5k.
so....Ecto=5k
now, if the Run=5k and Ecto=5k seems like an even trade to me.
Also, since it was not determined that the Runner would basically BUY an ecto, its a little unfair for the person requesting the service to FORCE a price on him. Since the value of the ECTO was not predetermined, other than in a general sense that it would be offered in trade for the run, and the runner was charging everyone else 5k....seems to me that the RUNNERS were in the right here, not the moron that was attempting to FORCE his price for ecto on the runner.
I mean, come on, what if I said, nah....I think ecto is only worth 6.5k because thats all you could sell it to the trader for? Sure, someone, somewhere is probably more than willing to pay 7k for it, but that person might not be me. Its just plain rude for the person to DEMAND 2k back.

When i used to do drok runs if someone suddenly didnt have the 3k I would try and get as much from them possible. The rushers did not attempt to do this at all.

So what, the OP is FORCING a price on the RUNNERS, the Runners are the ones offering the service. The OP offered 1 Ecto in Exchange for the Run. Setting an Equal Value of Item to Service. If they hadn't thought about preforming it in that manner to begin with, why would they not have simply 1)exchanged beforehand for gold and paid at mission end or 2)Sold the Ecto to a Third Party before the mission was run 3)Have stated before the run that "Hey can I trade you an ecto for the run and you just give me 2k back?"
All those things are nessasary from the person REQUESTING the service, not from the RUNNER. The Runner is basically running a buisness, and if I'm running a coffee shop, and someone says hey...I'll trade you a 10lbs Chicken for a cup of coffee and say....a $2.99 breakfast....I agree and make everything.....set it down on the table, and then they say...btw...the Chicken is worth $25, so you need to give me $20 back, I would tell them to GET THE HELL OUT!

Its not the money really to me, its the point of the matter really. Runners get screwed and everyone jumps on a bandwagon calling the runners 'greedy' ect...they are offering a service to people that request it, and some of those people are jerks. Its jacked of them to try and change the deal at the moment of payment.
