We still can get the stance shield from

Location: North of Thirsty River along the eastern edge of The Scar across the teleporter
Collecting: 2 Bleached Shells
Crimson Carapace Shield
Armor: 16 (Requires 9 Tactics)
Health +45 (while in a stance)
Received damage -2 (while in a stance)
But Im still pissed, cos I dyed my old Crimson Carapace Shield black. Also have a same stats Wooden Buckler and Baubao's Shell.

My desert collectors' shield is still the same. Unless they mean to remove this shield from the game entirely (or change it) you should still be able to get this from the desert collector near Thirsty River.
Unless this is an unintentional change i.e. bug, it should have been mentioned in the update notes too... stealth updates are not a good idea at all (loss of faith/trust in the company anyone?)

wow, 5 rockmolders nerfed into crap, nolani wands on 5 characters nerfed into crap, 45k and 30 amber nerfed into crap (knights boots on warrior 15k and 2 virtuoso gloves with different runes on mesmer 15k). very nice collection of shields nerfed into crap along with pretty much all absorption (hows that -2stance, -3hexed gonna stand up against titans now, eh?).
you know, we all take our chances holding onto extinct items - the rockmolder thing doesnt make me too angry. the knights/virtuoso armor issues have always been kind of iffy - so that doesnt make me too angry either. nolani wands and just a minor annoyance too.
but this: "Updated shields, armors, and runes with damage reduction abilities so that they only reduce physical damage." that is ...dare i say ... BULLSHIT. why physical only? realistically (in a non-real game) shouldnt a shield with damage prevention mods help prevent things like stone daggers, fireball, etc? while the AoE nerf pissed off a lot of people, at least it MADE SENSE. this makes no sense whatsoever.
and this: Weapon upgrades and Runes now indicate which kind of weapon/armor they attach to. For example, a dagger tang will have the text "Attaches to: Dagger". wow, thanks ever so much for this! im sure most of us were lost as to why our AXE hafts wouldnt fit on our HAMMERS.
well, we got the ability to split stacks- that was needed. we can now see what kind of ascalon bow we have- that was needed too. and we got new material storage. but in all honestly, this update has hit me so hard in terms of loss of money/item value and item utility that i just cant bring myself to even be happy about it. heck, i dont even want to log into the game again at this point after just looking through my characters inventories and seeing how much damage was done.
well, its just a game- but its a game i probably wont bother playing again until new character slots are enabled.
