Do tundra giants shoot arrows?

Could someone tell me whether the giant rock projectiles that the tundra giants throw count as arrows for the purposes of such things as Dodge?

erm good question...but its melee..because they use hammer skills.

I know when you get close up they start hammering you, but they also throw big boulders at you when you're far away - I'm just wondering why I seem to be taking a lot of damage even when I had dodge on.

Shoot boulder in range but it still Warriors attacks. They even use irrisistible to get knocked down from afar(got knocked down while having Whirling defense). Like Giant Stomp, they can do it from range too. I know this skill is in the Area of him but they can do it in range too.

Well, they must be ranged attacks or at least should. Arrows is just one type of ranged attack. Magical projectiles is another. I don't know what those rocks are. Maybe just projectiles or something.

Yes, they are condered arrows as far as i know at long range, u get hurt from them if they hit u, and they use giant stomp, which isnt an arrow attack, more of a giant shockwave

They throw boulders (which count as arrows but knock you down if theyre a critical hit).
If you're in range of Giant Stomp theyll use that (its your aggro circle i think).
If you get in melee range theyll use hammer attacks.

Thul Boulderrain (boss) uses Punishing Shot which works on arrows (.. boulders too? :/).

It should be painful to get a headshot from a punishing rock

Anyway, they should throw those sticks they carry on their backs.

Thanks to all who answered. To answer my own question, it does look like that they are arrows because they are affected by dodge.
