Old Skins and +5 energy mods?

Is it true that old skins (i.e prophecies) cannot have +5 energy mods on them? And does this include UW items such as eternal bows, even though they can be accessed by both games?

I'm not sure if +5 energy weapons drop outside of Cathan however.

The only "old skin" +5 ive seen is this one auction here on guru for a +5 Brute Sword.

I would assume that a +5 Eternal Bow might exist because the mod changes are gamewide?

They're not mods, they're inherant attributes of the weapon, like the 15/50.

I got told that the Tyrian skins couldn't get it, but I seem to remember peopel discovering +5 energy mods before factions came out...and I also thought it would be strange, that since UW is accessible on both games, Eternal Bow isnt technically a 'Tyrian' skin

yes you can get +energy mods in tyria, if you remember BEFORE they realsed factions there was an update and it said something like 'made it able to get +5 energy weapons'.

as this was before factions it must have applied to tyria, and thus the old skins

Sweet. I've been wondering if they existed but haven't seen them selling anywhere so I pretty much gave up on the idea that chaos axes could drop with +5 energy built in. I've always liked chaos axes as a running weapon and also think they would look nice for a caster.

Skins that drop in both Cantha and Tyria can drop with +5 energy. unique Tyrian items can't.

Yes, they can drop now in tyria. Pre-factions, you could get +5 energy items from HoD but that was it.

Yea, I'm pretty sure they drop both in Cantha and in Tyria.
