OK.....with the recent update to the character selection screen, I've noticed a huge, huge problem......
MY HATS ARE MISSING!!!!!!!
...well they're not "missing", they are still in my inventory and show up when I log-in to my characters, they are missing in that little preview screen in the portrait pictures and big full size picture where you select your character.
I miss seeing my hats!!!! Give them back!!!!!!

This is happening on my warrior and ritualist. It's rather annoying since my rit is so damn ugly since I didn't care what he looked like since his head piece is supposed to be on at all times.

yeap my warrior's helm is missing on the selection screen, its not a big problem at all but anet need to know about these things, otherwise they wont get fixed. It would be great if the selection screen reflected what ever it is set to in the inventory screen.

There have ALWAYS (since the game came out) been problems with the character selection screen. I even psoted a humorous post about monks and how they get shifted at that screen..

I don't care either way personally, but I like to think there's a choice. It's not like it'd be difficult to implement. That being said, if they had intentions to implement it, it'd be on the bottom of their list.

Personally I prefer the hat's showing on the character selection screen. I can't get used to seeing my War without his helmet. I do have one question though, did the Elem headpieces ever show on the character selection screen?

My warriors helmet is set to off and always shows. My eles 'helmet' is set to on and never shows?!?!

I always hated how it showed my wars helm on the log inscreen because its one of the ugly helms that I never set to view. also for some reason my monks tats would sometimes be the wrong color on the log in screen.

Most people have the other problem - headgear showing when it shouldn't be. All my characters except my storage ritualist have headgear set to "never show" but I see it in the login screen on all professions except elementalist - both male, my main, and the female I occasionally make for PvP. The recent update removed the headgear from my ritualist but not the other three characters (necromancer, ranger, assassin). I managed to fix this when I logged in and moved the ritualist's headgear option to "never show" and then back to "always show."
Sadly, the reverse didn't hide the headgear on my other characters
