I did these recently, the pet DP is applyed on all these videos so it is fine.

nice build, got Chehbaba's bow on my second try. i also used this build to solo Ssyn Coiled Grasp earlier today (the rit boss in the archipelagos), and plan on trying it on Tomton Spiriteater at some point (the rit boss just north of Chehbaba).

I seem to be missing something here. What is the exact build he is using for the videos, I can't see the attributes, the skills and the weapons he is using. Other than that, I can't wait to try it out.

unsure what weapons he's using, but i don't have any +energy bows, so i use a regular bow and switch to a staff if i start running low on energy.

Dragasa pretty much nailed it, you switch the build slightly sometimes. On alot of warrior bosses with no healing, you would want to put in Heal As One and Symbionic Bond.

Well I said to Craze in-game I know there is a pet skill that causes daze..so I would like to try an ele. Any suggestions would be nice for who to try ,but for the build i think im gonna use mostly craze's build. I think I'm gonna end up playing my ranger until Nightfall. (rangers own)

thanks you for this build Craze. i had alot of fun playing with this today. i used it to kill Royen Beastkeeper (he didn't drop for me) and then took a crack at Ghial. he dropped his staff on my first run. and even though Ssyn didn't drop for me earlier today i got a sup vig from a chest that was behind him, so it was still worth it.

for farming in the city i dropped run as one and replaced it with poisonous bite. there's a mob every 10ft in the city so you can't really run past anything, and the degen from the poison helps kill the rits who keep casting weapon of warding.

i wasn't really trying to farm him, just seeing if i could kill him. i was basically doing a hit it and quit it run, taking shots at various bosses in cantha, then moving on to another. there's probably a better build for him, but i'm a newb at playing beastmaster and unfamiliar with alot of the skills.

i made the mistake of aggroing Ghial while trying to lure out some of the others and he raised a flesh golem off of a dead mesmer. once the golem is up he'll keep it up as long as your around, but if you die he'll let it drop. i tried killing him while he had the golem but couldn't out-heal the damage, so when my pet died i leroyed in and got myself killed. when you rez you need to start running, because Orosen and his mob will be camping the shrine. just go left past the guards and they'll start fight the mob, taking aggro off you and letting you slip by to go back to Ghial ( i tried to kill Orosen but couldn't our-damage his healing). when you get back to Ghial the golem will be gone. the JBs along the way come in 4 flavors : knight, mage, mesmer and rit. i kill them in that order. the rits will use weapon of warding, causing your pet to miss attacks, so keep an eye on him. if you see any of his attacks miss, stop using attack skills, that energy is better spent on keeping your pet healed. just wait for it to end and start spamming attacks again. i tried to get in poisonous bite whenever i could to keep their health dropping while weapon of warding is up. other than that ghial wasn't all that hard, but if you die i'd recommed killing a few JBs on your way back to boost your morale, you can use that extra energy.

unfortunately i haven't been able to watch all of Craze's videos. i have dial-up. the big update for the pvp weekend event just finished downloading yesterday. i only got to watch the first 10 seconds of the first video, figured out the skills he was using and just kind of went from there. so if Craze would be kind enough to list some of his skillbars for us slow folk it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, thanks for the positive feedback, I'm trying a bunch of new stuff, a bunch of new videos are in development. I'm getting pretty lazy at posting them here if you haven't noticed.

I have a few more bosses that I can do, only two of them are rangers though. I'm experimenting alot in Rheas Crater, there are alot of interesting things there, many groups to pull together.

I'd like to ask if any of you guys could experiment with Lorelle Jade Cutter in Rheas Crater with this build. So far I have been able to get her alone, but no luck with the kill. I think its possible though.

My focus is still heavy on ranger bosses because I'm more into personal collecting than farming and selling. I'm getting to a few harder ones now.

If you check my profile on youtube you'll find some others you haven't seen before. I'll try to get them here asap.

i'm doing the same thing as you these days, just farming to collect things, don't care much about making money off of them. hence my "hit it and quit it" approach. if it doesn't drop it's no big deal, i can give it a try later.

i took my pet into Rhea's Crater yesterday to make a hit on Lorelle. i had the same problem as you, got her alone but couldn't finish her off. on the up side you can easily take down the outcasts groups there, and they seem to like giving me their luxon keys when they die. haven't tried taking on the oni there yet.

I'm not sure of the exact spelling, but Saint Anjelica's Shrine is where you must start from for that boss.

you hafta kill all the group leading up to ghial which can be pretty tedious and boring. yesterday i actually did a duo run, but yea today i tried a solo and killed ghial. he didn't drop for me though and sorry for no pics. at the very end when you reach ghial, you hafta try to pull out the others around him before going after him. if you happen to mess up, and ghial manages to get off a flesh golem, all you have to do is aggro the flesh golem with your pet, and lure it away from ghial, taking great care to make sure it is out of his aggro bubble. theres a point where you can move to where ghial will lose aggro but his golem will still follow. kill the golem. kill ghial.

its very important that you kill the golem out of ghials aggro otherwise, ghial will raise another and keep using taste of death to heal, and raise another.

other: on a side note, i was thinking of replacing predator's pounce for symbiotic bond. but i haven't tried that yet.

im gunna try it on my elementalist, might work, might not... although using a meteor and savage pounce could effectively put a caster to shame. ill post if i can do it, i was gunna do 14 ES, 12 BM... put in maybe ice prison so they stick to the pet and not me

I beat Xueko, ended with around 67 health... not to great ... im thinking about throwing in troll unguent when not using Heal as One...

Great job Crazy Horse! Finally some Beastmaster goodness. I've famred most of these with a touch build, but this way seems less... cheap. Besides, I'm not hurting for money.


Any place where I can get a better quality video of a few of your runs? I have the general idea down, but I think I am screwing up some fo the finer point of agro control with my pet. I don't think youtube lets you save video either.

so I cleared to and eliminated all the other in Lorelle's group, but I can't seem to keep her from killing Mr Pet, as soon as I res pet, blammo, dead again. Is there a trick for keeping her aggro on me (and not dying) so my pet can do his dirty work?

Can someone please actually SHOW ME IN-GAME how to do this. Every time I try with Ghail, I get f-in rushed when I attack, and If i run back, My pet does as well, making the whole thing a waste of time. Please do not redirect me to the videos because they dont explain how to do it. I would like an IN-GAME visual. Thanks.

I use the beastmaster a lot, however since pets dont seem to aggro monsters in the same way players do i.e you cannot run monsters into pets very easily, runs can get very messy very easily. Also when running to a safe distance, pets have a tendancy to follow. Can anybody offer any insight here please. Thanks.

Tried Ghial run and its great. Bagged myself another staff. I found it much faster on my ranger, than on my warrior. For me killing the 2-3 mobs b4 Ghial is no biggie. The run is over in under 10 mins probably, although I haven't timed it. In response to another post, I myself have tried symb bond with troll ungent and I'm not too keen on it. You are prone to taking too much damage. However, despite my sucess I am still finding pulling an issue, since you are more often the target rather than your pet.
