Double rare drops?

we just finished a deep run, drops were:
2 gold drops
1 gold chest out of 4 chests we opened
and 3 green drops (same as always)

this looks even less than normal i think...

LoL maybe they meant that the rarity of the drops has doubled.

So in effect if the chances of something rare dropping are rare, then this weekend the chances are twice as bad.

Chest drops - crap. As always: mostly wands, straw effigy's, staves and so on. I thought it wil be no purple chests while event.... I WAS WRONG - still purple chests ). Drop.... hmmmm... i think little more purples from mobs may be, havn't mantioned any doubled rare stuff.

ANET tricked us. They hate PVE so why the fck they should do something good for PVE ? ))

Yes, the people who keep adding PvE content to the game must hate PvE. Especially, since we all know they're not really adding jack to the PvP side of the game.

Just tried Urgoz's Warren and The Deep, didn't notice anything about the double drops, didn't even get a Straw Effigy or something.

or maybe you should check www.guildwars.com and see that they did not put the update up yet. Reading will get you far in life.

But you DO get acces to the missions allready

Stupid question, but is there any other way to get keys to the Elite Missions, other than trading Luxon Totems or Equipment.... (Kurzik) for them? Does the merchant in the elite mission sell them?

Never done an Elite Mission... But I will this weekend...

To other member, yes you can buy a key, its bit expensive but hey its the event! I always set aside 100k for the events gg

down in the deep/urgoz warren is a merchant who is willing to sell u the keys for 1.5k each

Phew, was a little bit afraid, every totem I´ve recieved I´ve traded for ordinary Luxon keys. Would have sucked if those were the only way to gain the Elite Mission keys, would take ages to collect just 5 to be able to get one key...

So far I don't know about other people (though it is great to see the elite missions populated) but from what we've gone through there have not been the 2x rare loot drops that have been mentioned in this weekend's update. A friend of mine did the Deep and killed Kanaxai, and said that there were 6 gold drops total, which we usually see anyway going down there. We then did Urgoz, and getting to the 5th room saw only one gold from the beginning. If this is what was to be considered as 2x rare loot drops then what a difference. >_>; If we still haven't gotten the proper update, then maybe we deserve another elite weekend. >:D

i heard it was not updated to double rare drops yet. dunno for sure.

No disrespect meant, but why would they give access and not touch the drop rate yet? It doesn't make sense to me.

So you didnt notice the rare drops AND didnt notice that not even 4 threads below this is another post on exactly the same subject rofl.

The event is live, and the drops you get are the drops you'll continue to get for the weekend. People overfarmed the areas long ago, and there's not much to double in the way of drop anyway.

The only thing I noticed was more key drops. Completed urgoz and we had 1 gold drop, and 1 gold chest...

Chance for rare drop increase from 0.0001% to 0.0002%, a big difference
And I thought double rare drop should mean Kanaxai and Urgoz drop 6 greens each time
