is it true u can duplicate item?

some guy showed me a glitch
you stand in a rock, the ghostly hero becomes lvl 255 and then u drop item and its duplicates..? anyone else got it?

Never heared of it before but worth trying it ^^

i bet when you drop your item he's gonna ninja loot it and then disconnect.

Screenie means: "prove it" basically.

People here won't believe in duping and having a level 255 ghostly hero without seeing it with their own eyes.

Level 255 happens when the NPC is out of range of the compass. You occasionally see that with Togo and Nika while doing the To Tahnnakai Temple quest. As for duping... I doubt it works.

I expect this to be complete bull, and even if it isn't I don't think Anet will look lightly upon people who exploit bugs in the game like this.

Oh, right. When I did bloodstone fen earlier Saidra was level 255, I took a screen of it, can post it if you're interested.

The old "Drop item here, and then YOINK, i Stole it super cool bug" .. Goes all the way back to D2, and possiblly longer back x.x Shouldent supprice me if some dude hope you wanna try to "Dupe" a few ectos or a 15^50 fellblade >_>

If anyone is stupid enough to drop all their items, they deserve to lose them.

Just drop a white item and see if it works. bearing in mind anet have said they will ban if you abuse a glitch/bug.

The lvl255 is a new Glitch/Thing that happens with NPCs that are out of Rader range.

The Item Duping is him trying to Get your items by making you drop them and trying to ninja them before you pick them back up..

I can't try to sell anything high-end without getting some sort of "Dang did you dupe that yet" message from people. 7 times today, 7 people blocked.

maybe it's to prevent mission/quest failure when the team is out of the npc's zone, because we all know the AI sometimes gets smart enough to attack when the hacking human meat bags have their backs turned...

I saw another thread that tells of someone that got scammed. The other guy told him to drop it on his count. Guess what happened? The scammer was equipped for running. He triggered the cut scene after the ecto dropped and ran back to the beginning to try and grab the ecto. Like everyone else said, it's a scam, you can't dupe there, don't try.

I read that post too so I was going to mention it.

Theyll probably start off with normal items and get up to more expensive items.
