Key drops this weekend

I would be interested to know what peoples drop rates have been like on keys?

I played solidly all day yesterday farming Nahpui (not chest running, cant afford that) and doing several missions all over the place including Keineng.. I have been dropped a grand total of ONE key !

Has ANET cocked up again (like they did with the elite missions last week) and forgot to put the increased key drop rate in ?

or is it simply that keys have such a LOW percentage chance of dropping that by increasing the % drop-rate has made hardly any difference at all

A guildie of mine got 2 key drops in the first 2 monsters he killed, and i've seen a lot of phantom keys drop in UW yesterday, so i think you're just experiencing bad luck.

I've been doing my usual vermin farming and have gotten between 1-4 keys on each run - usually I only get one once in a while.

Also I just got a Kurtzik key outside Maatu Keep while farming Kirins (kinda weird since the chests in that area are Canthan).

So the rate is up for sure, but you probably have to solo to see a noticable difference and by the sound of it you are in a group.

I've got like 10 key drops, as opposed to the normal 2 or 3 but it's all still a very low chance, you can't keep complaining about this... It's rediculous. Twice as likely doesn't mean "guaranteed to get at least 10".

I found more then 10 keys in ~3 hours of farming.
However it was Tyria.

None,since i dont farm since i hate these weekends.

After about three hours of trying, got zero keys, lost interest.

Nobody in my guild seems to be paying all this much attention anyway.

Not 1 key

no keys for me either *sigh*

I played for a couple hours, got three purple drops from chests and no keys dropped from kills. I went back to Tyria.

(Not complaining. It's kind of typical for me really.)

The first day keys dropped, haven't seen any since though.. and yes, I had wondered about the lack of keys.

Ive had a couple of Forbidden keys drop. Used them and got purple merch food.

ive gotten 1 luxon key, nothing more :/

I've only seen 1 key drop as well. But I think the problem is that with all the things that can drop the normal rate for keys is probably much less than 1% so doubling that really doesn't mean much.

I think that is the issue with chests too. The first day I had 5/8 golds but yesterday and today all purples. This is pretty much the same overall ratio I usually get. I think you need to do really high volume to really get a benefit from the percentage increase. I'm not willing to sink that much money into this now.

I think pretty good actually. I've noticed 2 or three key drops on Canthan missions per hour, as opposed to one perhaps.

I've also noticed drop rates seem to decrease dramtatically in terms of rarity of item when henchies are along.

No keys in cantha, no gold items either. Went back to tyria and troll farming. 20 minutes later 5 keys and 3 golds..

Over 150 rares from chests in Cantha. Like 5 key drops. I wasn't getting many soloing Vermin. I might try the guys outside of Maatu and Wardens in Arborstone.

Same story for me. Vermin farming, I've been saving keys dropped from them for the past week because there is always chests by them. So when I went again when the event start they started dropping 2-3 keys for me each run. I haven't even touched the ones I saved for the event, they are dropping enough to keep me opening their chests.
