Cant remember what other one was, but was very similar to Gates of Kryta, where my poor monk had to deal with warriors who were running into battle while hexed, poisoned, and at half health.

My two worst?

1) Elona Reach. Not so bad anymore, but I spent over 10 hours there the first time. It's scared me for life and I hate that mission with a passion.

2) Vizunah Square. Not so bad anymore since more people are playing, but right after release? gfl finding a Canthan group that a) wasn't one player with 7 henchman and b) didn't have a leaver before the Tyrian team could get close enough to save Togo, let alone finish the mission.

Honestly, all of my bad experiences in missions were caused by stupidity, either my own or that of others.

Ruins of Surmia. It takes forever and keeping Rurik alive means running it isn't a viable option.

THK. With good groups it's a breeze. Problem is finding good groups.

in terms of getting the bonus, getting a balanced team to kill Glint can be pretty tough, and simply getting people on the same page for THK bonus is tough
frustrating: I'll agree with Unwaking. 9 out of 10 times you get the henches, and this is after finding 8 people at one time which is it's own challenge

Id have to say:

Thunderhead Keep 1: An absolute breeding ground for noobs, nonexperianced players, and just plain fools. I loved it on my ranger, but on my warrior, teams were so bad i nearly gave up before my alliance came to the rescue with an exp group doing the mission.

Nahpui Quarter 2: A mix of bad groups and the back agro problem (anyone who's done nahpui or has gotten close to finishing will know what im talking about) caused my ranger to be stuck there for an entire month.

Define "worst."

One's I hate to play are Hell's Precipice because of the grind & difficulty in finding monks that don't charge, and Vizunah Square because of the fact that no matter what your party composition is, you can still get hosed by a crappy team coming from the other side.

Worst ones to get through: THK & Hell's Precipice, not because they're hard - but because the PUGs you get into MAKE them hard.

My 2 FAVORITE Missions, on the other hand, are 1: Ft. Rankick (even as a low level character) because the guy at the trebuchet(sp) is a hoot! "Damn Charr snuck up on me... and at the second one you can do a suicide mission to get the Charr gathered around the trebuchet's blast area. 2: Iron Mines of Moladune, it's one of the very few missions that have you facing different enemies along the way. Most of the others are "kill a group of XXXX, move on and kill the next group of XXXX."

Vizuna and thunderhead. And both for the same reason, though.. I'm inclined to add the three desert missions to that list. People just don't know how to play together in those missions.

I can't decide, but I have a few.

The mission with Glint just because more than half the time, all but me and 2 or 3 others leave the group before we get to the end.

Vizunah because if you get henchies, you bassically lost because they can't even get to you without togo/menhlo (whichever one they are with) dieing, and sometimes, the players do just as bad as the henchies.

Gayla Hatchery because it is so incredibly hard to get a group there with any of my characters but monk.

The first fire islands mission because it is sorta hard to get a group there, and most of the time, they all leave halfway through (this always happens with every group I get in, and I still haven't beat it even though I got there about when factions came out and I have been trying to beat it ever since)

The desert mission where you have to kill the 5 bosses for the mission and the warrior boss for the bonus. I had to spend more than a week trying to beat it with at least two of my characters.

Unwaking waters just because it is so hard to get a group there.

I think that is all, but now that I think about it, I say the fire islands one is my least favorite and the rest are tied for second.

yeah the other thing with Dragon's Lair (Glint) is that a lot of ppl say they want the mission but wind up leaving after they get their cap

1) Vizunah Square. I usually take henches, but this is one of those missions where they're a liability. If you get a full hench team on the other side though, you breeze right through.

2) Elona Reach. I dunno why, but this was a pain for me, and I couldn't hench this my first time playing. It was only with the help of guildies that made me saw how easy the mission really was. Still, from now on whenever I have to take a character through, I just hire a runner. Quick and easy.

Vizunah Square hands down... I just think the dual party thing works well at all. Also if you playing Tyria and bring henchies and the canthan team is human, the henchies will bug out and leeroy out to meet the players on the other team, leaving you and mhenlo to die. It happens everytime. This mission is liable to kill your survival title. Then theres the buggy 2 cutscenes that bug out and give you death counts to further screw survivor up. This mission needs some work.

i'd say the only two 2 party missions in cantha are the most frustrating, vizunah and unwaking. its so hard to find another non hench group on the other side. thk isnt that bad considering it can be done with hench (myself tried and completed it).

I would've at one time said Thirsty River, but once I got the strategy down, I actually kinda like it now.

I'd say the two missions I dread doing the most is Vizunah Square and probably THK. Now, THK isn't really that hard, I just dread and hate it because of how long the last part is. It just seems to keep going. It just gets old. Vizunah is just simply buggy all to hell, and I hate having to rely on another team, especially if they don't even speak your language. Unwaking Waters would have the same complaint, except it seems far more likely to get a full hench team and thus becomes easily managed.

The two-party missions were such a great idea... on paper.

1) Arborstone - Have had MANY BAD PUGs for that mission... it's always the mission that I'll need to attempt more than once on each character...... everything else in Factions is easy-peasy well maybe that 2nd last mission (forgot what it was called =p) - a good PUG is also necessary for that one... actually just a PUG without a Leeroy Jenkins will be fine.

2) One of the Crystal Desert missions... the one where you have to eliminate like 7 groups or something? before the priest rezzes the mobs... that one... always had groups that loved to aggro EVERYTHING once we got to the last area...

If I can post another one, I'd like to say that Jungle mission where we have to protect the pedestals.

I completely agree, and I fervently hope that Nightfall won't include anything like that. I actually don't mind Vizunah Square, because it's pretty trivial even with henchies on both teams, but Unwaking Waters is horrible.

Unwaking Waters, a) because it's always empty when I get there, and b) because getting a good team joining you is such a lottery. I can (just) survive Vizunah with a joining team of henchies, but it always seems to go horribly wrong at Unwaking.

For the second one, I can't decide between Gyala Hatchery (I have never successfully PUG-ed it unless we go 'the back way'), or Nahpui Quarter (which I can never get Master's on - arrrgh!).

In terms of sheer drudgery, I loathe all of the Ascalon quests, especially that poxy Surmia mission & bonus.

Unwaking Waters can be so a pain, if the other team consists of a warrior with 7 henchmen, you are in for a long fight. (in my experience at least)
Arborstone, falling rocks just isnt my thing.

this thread rocks, mine are:
Gyala hatchery, for getting a group together that doesn't screw up is a nightmare, even the backway fails miserably as ppl always think its done after we clear the terrain. I had masters after 10 tries

Arborstone, these falling rock get on my nerves real bad, had masters in 1 try though, but that was also because the rest of the group ruled.

every mission before the dessert, ice caves and and the infuse mission. in the dessert for the first time you need to coördinate instead of just slashing you way true them.

Gyala hatchery is very annoying as it seems impossible to find a good pug, always have to wait untill enough guildies are online.

Worst: Raisu Palace (I hate timed missions, I hate missions where the only difficulty is rushing through infinite waves of mobs - and, yippee, this mission has both!)

Second place is a tie between Arborstone and Bloodstone Fen. Both bite.

My favorite missions are Thunderhead Keep and Vizunah Square (provided the other team is all-hench, otherwise it's a horror).

Agreed.
I couldn't do Nahpui Quarters for a couple of days with my monk (lvl20 with Energy drain, PvP style). 2 assassins in the group, rangers bringing there lvl10 pets, blood necros, channeling ritualists, water eles, warriors wielding hammers, I saw it all . Grabed henches in the end and finished the mission.

The same story with Thunderhead Keep. Had to do it with henches.

If this thread was done before I didn't see it. But Ohh Boy here comes a rant!

Okay the mission I HATE HATE HATE right now is Arbor Stone! My Monk ALWAYS gets bugged by Alliance members to do it and like a sucker I get stuck pulling people through it! There is NOTHING worse... This mission is very hard on Monks.

Close 2nd, yet still full of hate is Abadons Mouth. Mostly the same reasons.

Basically any choke point missions. I like the way the game is set up that every so often you run into a mission that is more than Hack, Slash, Nuke, Lather, Rinse Repeat. And once and a while you have to THINK your way through a mission. The problem is that these missions become a noob choke point where crappy players just can't get past it.

And YES, by the way if you have tried arborstone more than 10 times and you still haven't gotten past it, it is more than likely it is because YOU are doing something wrong NOT your Monk. **Sorry rage Moment**

I might be a little nuts but I LIKE THK, I find it fun...mind you that is with a god group. To be fair there are very few missions that aren't a walk in the park with a good group. There are a few that are still a challenge even with a good group, Unwaking waters being one of them. But I like the challenge.

The missions I hate really have very little to do with the missions and a LOT to do with the players in them.

Hell's Precipice - noone wants a warrior in party, so that's it.

Any other mission in a bad PUG. Otherwise, in a good groop everything is easy & enjoyable!

EDIT: And, just remembered, that jungle mission when you have to cap portals before White Mantle does is an absolute dread with a bad PUG.
