Well if this isn't a hoax and the item IS like the IDS, a key won't get you anywhere. I suspect we're seeing the front-end of a new feature of GW: mob-specific themed drops in difficult-to-reach areas. Ice Imps = Icy Dragon Sword, Terrorweb Dryders = Terror Shield, etc.

Of course, if this IS a photoshop hoax, nevermind. I'm withholding judgment until I see a screenshot of the stats.

Vanquisher was showing off the shield after Kuntz sold it. I don't really think it's worth the money; it doesn't seem like it would dye well. I tried it on my warrior, and it's a decent size, but it's still nothing like the Korean Coke shield.

hmmm...i do say this shield is very nice looking...but comon eventally it will be released to the public where to find it....so why not jsut go ahead spill the beans....btw has ne one ever completely cleared uw? hm i think im gonna try that one with my guild and post what i find hopefully hehe...

YES!!! I just got my sheild! I was in a group of 8, and one monk droped and then the warrior droped, but we still made it to the Terror Web Dryder place! It took so so long and nothing was droping but finally, after like 300 terror web dryders my sheild droped!

TO GET THERE:

When you start, clean out the first room, then take the quest, kill all the grasping darkness and then the doors open. Go out the back door to Obsidian behemoths section. (the big snakes that drop Natures renewal and traps). They take a very long time to clear but eventually you will make it to the plains of dispair feild with the horserider guy. Kill him and a million mesmers will spawn, take a right there through the door and you will be in a section with a million Terror Web Dryders.

I would post a picture but my paintshop pro is acting funny. I got al 16, req 10 strength, 25 hp while enchanted and +1 heal (17%). THESE ARE REAL!

Im thinking about selling mine seeing the price they are going for, but after how long it took to get one, I dunno.

Let me know if you want to team, Jet. I have a necro I can alternate between 55/tank and full HP SS/SV ... also a multi-+4 masked ranger for trapping/spirits.

Oh yeah and a wammo too ... yeah he's real great in the UW

Still working on ascending my monk and my mesmer, and I suppose I should get around to re-creating my Ele as well ... i'll procrastinate later

pretty sure you can at least 2 man farm UW.

i know me and my friend did the spider quest just for fun after we cleared out the smites and obsidians and stuff werent any problem for us.

maybe i should test it out with my friend when i get the chance.

I will believe it when someone with a larger post count than the person who i quoted says it. Also a picture would be nice but many hoaxer's photo programs always conveniently break.

well it wasnt here be4 - i cleared pool's monument area many times - so i'd like to see an in-game pic - when in dropeed, who dropped - mb pic with stats as well - pls.
if its area-specific item u cant get it from any dryder - only from pool's dryders - just like u cant get ids from any ice imp, only from imps nearby lyssa's statue... so unwanted guests will be waste of time, and there are diff dryders in this quest anyway...

why does everyone call anything new a hoax? i mean the IDS was called a hoax for hours but its real. also this is just like the IDS the IDS is just a FDS thats blue this is the shape of a tower shield or defender with a new skin and i love it!!!!

Cokeplay.com, learn to read korean...
I live in korea and teach english here, 3 cans of coke product and you can swap your points in for special in game items only for koreans with korean guildwars accounts. (You cant change your account to korean, only US/EURO swaps are allowed). You also need a korean ID# (like social insurance) to sign up on the cokeplay site.

Items that the koreans have access to are like a Necro staff with 20% recharge on blood and 20% recharge on Curses on the same staff. The leet sheild with awesome stats. ETC. stuff we American/Euro's can't get due to some kind of deal with coke that the guildwars america/euro side won't make.

BACK TO THE TERROR SHEILD. I sold mine in game for an offer I couldn't refuse (105 ecto). Yes they do exist, someone search for Kunt0r's in game video, if you think they are a hoax. I mean you can photoshop some stuff, but a video? How dedicated do you think 1 person could be.

Spawning pools, and I have done 4 runs today and only seen 1 sheild drop, so its like a little less frequent than a IDS drop.

Can someone put the link in to kunt0r's video, that should solve all of your dilema about hoaxs, which as someone said, you all told us we were hoaxing the IDS, untill 25 screen shots were posted and video walk through of how to farm them solo...I think someone has a screen shot of the stats in inventory on the sheild as well... I never had mine in my inventory long enough to think to screenshot it. I wanted my 4th set of fissure so bad I just sold the thing.
