Well if this isn't a hoax and the item IS like the IDS, a key won't get you anywhere. I suspect we're seeing the front-end of a new feature of GW: mob-specific themed drops in difficult-to-reach areas. Ice Imps = Icy Dragon Sword, Terrorweb Dryders = Terror Shield, etc.

Of course, if this IS a photoshop hoax, nevermind. I'm withholding judgment until I see a screenshot of the stats.

Vanquisher was showing off the shield after Kuntz sold it. I don't really think it's worth the money; it doesn't seem like it would dye well. I tried it on my warrior, and it's a decent size, but it's still nothing like the Korean Coke shield.

hmmm...i do say this shield is very nice looking...but comon eventally it will be released to the public where to find it....so why not jsut go ahead spill the beans....btw has ne one ever completely cleared uw? hm i think im gonna try that one with my guild and post what i find hopefully hehe...

Hmmm.... If this shield only drops in the Spawning Pools then the Bragging rights alone are worth dying a hundred times trying to get one!

It seems the pattern is that they are adding items in places you cannot solo easily

And, while thinking about it ... if it is like the IDS, it would drop from terrorwebs (although what a dryder needs with a shield, i'm not sure ... how would they even hold it? )

Just canvassed Perdition Rock (in hopes that the Dryders there dropped somethin' somethin') and didn't get a slick shield... but who cares!? Look what I got

Beautiful. I sure hope this isn't a hoax...it has the exact same shape as a Tower Shield, so it may be true.

I think I might join a team tonight to do some UW exploring instead of my boring old IDS solo farming...

YES!!! I just got my sheild! I was in a group of 8, and one monk droped and then the warrior droped, but we still made it to the Terror Web Dryder place! It took so so long and nothing was droping but finally, after like 300 terror web dryders my sheild droped!

TO GET THERE:

When you start, clean out the first room, then take the quest, kill all the grasping darkness and then the doors open. Go out the back door to Obsidian behemoths section. (the big snakes that drop Natures renewal and traps). They take a very long time to clear but eventually you will make it to the plains of dispair feild with the horserider guy. Kill him and a million mesmers will spawn, take a right there through the door and you will be in a section with a million Terror Web Dryders.

I would post a picture but my paintshop pro is acting funny. I got al 16, req 10 strength, 25 hp while enchanted and +1 heal (17%). THESE ARE REAL!

Im thinking about selling mine seeing the price they are going for, but after how long it took to get one, I dunno.

Let me know if you want to team, Jet. I have a necro I can alternate between 55/tank and full HP SS/SV ... also a multi-+4 masked ranger for trapping/spirits.

Oh yeah and a wammo too ... yeah he's real great in the UW

Still working on ascending my monk and my mesmer, and I suppose I should get around to re-creating my Ele as well ... i'll procrastinate later
