There is a similar thread over at GWO. I presume links aren't allowed, so I won't but there's a picture in there which is rather curious. It shows someone wielding this shield, but if you look closely at the Weapon Set, the icon is actually that of a plain tower shield.

I don't know if there are any other shields which look different in game compared to their weapon set icon? Just something that looked strange to me.

No its not odd, its probably "GOLD" shield, not blue with fixed stats like IDS.

UMM... I THINK you got this image from possibly a pre live server source, as in maybe the development server or soemthing? Cause I just observed a pvp game and took 2 screen shots of someone using a Terror sheild in pvp

I have blanked out the names of those in the guild using this item as I don't
want to get them flooded with the same number of tells you guys sent me about my sheild. (which I sold for everyone's information, and the buyer would prefer to stay annoymous, rich and annoymous)

I just found something interesting in Ashford Abbey In Pre-Searing. If you look at the entrance to the Catacombs, you will find something quite interesting:

Either Anet was lazy and decided to use those textures for the shield, or they were used to create an elaborate hoax. (The big face on the right is used for the backside of the shield.)

They drop in Underworld too. I saw some guy earlier this morning on a farming run who apparently got a drop in Underworld.

Thulkandra, a lot of item designs and cape emblems are pulled (or found, rather) in scenery all across Tyria.

EDIT: I have not seen Jackal's shield. I have not seen anyone's shield but Vanquisher's. He bought it from Kuntz, so those are two people you can trust. If I know they have the shield, why can't others have it too? A guildmate said he saw the shield in an observed match too. I will take Jackal's word for it.

You contiue to be suspicious, im gonna contiue to farm them all day untill I have 2 sets of fissure of woe for every one of my characters and multiple stacks of 250 ecto in storage and full plat. I don't even know why im bothering to argue anymore. Just go to ToA american or Lions arch, many people are selling, and forming Spawning Pools/Terror Sheild farming groups.

Already made almost 2 sets of fissure of woe armor from this item today...hope the price dosent drop like other things.

Alright, there's been enough hearsay in this thread, and the deleted FTP hosted picture as well as a graphic source for the image gives me enough cause to say, unless this can be verified in-game by a member of the site staff, this thread is closed.

Anyone who has the shield, feel free to remove the lock by verifying it in-game with a staff member.
