Can the AI tell what you're about to do?

It seems anet cheats on us, being the game serversided...

They could have coded it like: If spell is used > interrupt
No matter what casting time it has offcourse....
and since the ai doesn't have to click an actual button it must be coded like that

I had either revesal or divine boon intereupted the other day, pissed me off but I did cast it right after another skill. (which I think was interupted too) That was outside THK against Mursaat.

Spamming interupts as a ranger I can sometimes get sweet interupts, catching skills just as they start or right as they end for the really fast ones but interupt spamming isn't something you do as a mesmer.

This whole hover over a skill thing is good, I press buttons for my skills but hovering could just stop them from casting altogether, which is what you want anyway isn't it?

Ive realized that the mesmers will only cast backfire on my characters with spells, like they "know" my skillbar
I've had backfire on my ranger before, with no spells at all, or *maybe* one. I've also had mesmers do that in PvP...

in pvp it's different. if you have a spellcasting prof as a secondary then it might be that a player casts backfire just to prevent you from trying to use them. but if i see someone cast backfire on a thumper, well.... no comment

If you're spamming skills your second skill might get interrupted because the AI *doesn't* have impeccable timing - I've had this happen when fighting enemy rangers.

However, yesterday, while out with my interrupt ranger, I found that I could keep an entire group of those plant thingies on Shing Jea island which spam Diversion, to stop casting simply by hovering the pointer over Savage Shot and switching target every second.

So yeah, I now think that the games prediction routines DO keep track of which button you hover over, and DO report this to the enemy AI.
I don't think this is done to "cheat", but is simply a result of there being information interchange between the AI module and the movement prediction module.

Keep in mind that your interrupt complaints could be because of the AI being too late to catch the previous skill, interrupting by accident.

I'm pretty sure they do know what enchantments are on though. When running past mesmers who had Shatter Enchant, I noticed they wouldn't use it when Illusion of Weakness was the covering enchantment.
