Skill Templates: Confirmed!
Zinger314
(Pictures are from this Guild Wars Nightfall Preview found here: http://wolfguard.wolfgaming.net/gc2006/)
So, a long awaited feature has finally been confirmed. It appears you can save Templates, and restore them at the touch of a drop-down list. Nifty.

I really hope that gets added to all chapters and not just for Nightfall/if you merge. I still think it was cheap marketing ploy to have the storage upgrade only for Factions, since the original chapter is still being sold typically at full price. This is also something which should have been in the game right from the start imho.
The "profession" bit is curious though, since currently you can't change secondary profession unless you see a particular NPC (or reroll your PvP char).

i cant seriously believe how ppl are expecting to get this template upgrade, it is a FEATURE, not an interface upgrade , plz ppl dont be so cheap and expect to get free FEATURES, only expect INTERFACE upgrades.

/dance WOOO HOOO I have been hopeing for this feature for a very long time. I am one of those wierdo's that has mutiple armor sets for diff builds both pve and pvp and this is gonna make my set up time from mission to mission much much faster. THANKS ANET!!! Although I hope this will include any needed armor changes as well for the set up, and not just a skillbar atribute saver. Though I will take what I can get.
I doubt that all chapters will get this feature though. Like it or not it is one more reason for the more casual player to go out and buy Nightfall... Smart marketing if you ask me.
The thing I am wondering is if ANET will Release a "All chapters box set" to help newcomers to Guildwars keep up. This is what I am looking to see. I think ANET needs to encourage people even more to make sure they have all of the old as well as the newest chapters of this game. An "all in one" set would help ALOT to keep the new faces comeing.

Can someone explain what exactly this is? Those pictures are terrible and I can't make out what this would do/achieve...

I doubt this will be a free upgrade. Most likely Nightfall only. Its more of a luxury than a necessity just like storage.
Although i could be wrong.

(Top Image)
Name Of Template: Miss Paragon
Profession: Paragon/Ritualist
(Bottom Screen)
Same as the first...
-Attribute Points Tier (Like in Game already.)
--The bottom of that pane is the Skill List.
---Just Under the Skill List is the Skill Bar Placement.
------------------
IT seems that this is a PvP menu. I doubt that PvE characters will be able to change their Second Profession on the fly. So that will probably be grayed out for Role Playing Characters.
Edit:
Just Realized that the top of that first screen, the Window says (SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES) which means that the two are now gonna be MERGED. Making this a CORE CHANGE.
dargon
Just as a side note, this COULD be for the configurable henchmen. We won't know till it's released, so I don't recommend making any assumptions that might get peoples hopes up, only to piss them off when it's actually shown to be something different.

@ The Great Al
This lets players switch Builds on the fly. It was also requested many times by people who hate to rebuild their attributes and skill bar for different uses each and every time.
So to the majority, its a big deal.
Airbag
This makes me happy, with this, I can finally delete the .txt file with different builds I always have open on my laptop while playing GW. Of course I know them by heart if I just think a bit, but thinking too much makes my head hurt.. and I'm lazy :P.
I do hope this'll be a core feature, not that it would matter for me, since I'll be getting Nightfall anyway, but its a matter of principle.. I dont like the kind of smart but cheap marketing Anet uses to persuade people to buy the newer chapters..

Actually, this MAY be Nightfall only. See how it's under the "K" button. It's NOT part of the hero menu, so it'd be easy to apply. Just have it scripted so that the K button opens the menu IF the account hs nightfall on it.
But, this makes me happy anyway, since I plan on getting NF : )

I dont think therye just going to merge the K+H functions together, I wouldnt want to make a new template for a build i'm only testing out. So I think one is for saving and one is for any temporary builds.
EDIT: Didnt notice before that it says "Skills and Attributes" on the top bar. Maybe im looking at this wrong.
