So new skills have been confirmed, do you think we are lucky enought to get new armors and greens too?

C'mon Anet, my Rit needs some nicer weapons.

I doubt it. There will be a few* new skills; but significantly less than all the other professions.

if there's new skills for the rit and the sin, some of them may be elites..
if there's elites, there's bosses..
And when you say bosses, you think greens

don't really care about new armors, but i sure hope there'll be new greens and weapon skins...

Good point on new elites meaning new bosses. I hadn't thought of that!

I'm just glad we're getting some kind of marginal support for rits and sins. I was going to bring my rit over anyway, but this gives me some incentive to at least dust off my sin and bring her over as well.

If we're going to be facing sins and rits in explorable areas/missions, then there at least should be some new weapons. Don't really need new armors, but some variation would be nice.

I'd expect we'd at least get one or two new sets of armor if nothing else...

No the Dervish and Paragon wont get new skill from Factions; but it's already been confirmed that the sin/rit get new skills in Nightfall so I'm not sure why you bothered to post that.

That's what you get for listening and believing rumors and people spreading false, unconfirmed, unsupported information. Doubt it'll stop them though. I can see it now - "Chap 4, No new content for Dervs and Paragons. I guarantee it." Just remember that unless you see it officially confirmed, taking everything with the usual truck load of salt.

At this point I can't logically guess anything.

Personally, I'm getting FoW armor on my assassin next, so I could care less about new armor (although I suppose some people will want it). New daggers skins would be appreciated, but I still need a good zodiac pair even if there aren't any

I like your thinking.

But I don't really care about new greens or weapon skins....I hardly pay attention to those execpt for the first 5 seconds I equip them. New armor would be nice though.

Unless it's is "officialy" comfirmed, I'm not getting my hopes up. Having new skills for them in nightfall is good enough for me, considering that at first it seemed like there wouldn't be anything for them in nightfall...

I'm kinda doubting that we'll see any new Rit/Sin armor and weapons, even though part of me would like to see new stuff for them. Maybe they will get new armor stats, I'm not doubting that. It will eventually come, I think.

Although, if the new Rit/Sin come with new elites, there is a good possibly of new weapons (greens that is) for them. I wonder what kind of backstory they'll use to explain why there are monster bosses with Canthan profressions in Elona?

Still having doubts for now about new armor and weapons for the Ritualist and Assassin. I hope they'll give us any conformation soon...real soon.

There doesn't need to be actually. They can still restrict sins and rits primarily to cantha because the article stated that events in nightfall will affect previous chapter's continents. So, for example, you do a quest in Elona, causing a chaos portal to open up (like the jade wind festival or ToPK) in Cantha, and out pops out some assassin and/or ritualist bosses. This way, sins and rits are still restricted to cantha.

Those rumors about no new skills for Rt and A weren't false at the time. The Skill Hunter title was changed just recently to reflect new elites for Rt and A. The number of required elites for Expert Skill Hunter was 225 before, now it's 235.

Where do you get this info, Rits and Sins have more than 10 skills?

The belief that the world was flat wasn't false at the time, it was all the employing of sheeps bladders to prevent earthquakes that eventually lead to the earth assuming a spherical shape.

The world was never flat so belief for that was false all time. This, however, is different, because ArenaNet wasn't originally planning to add skills for Rt and A, but they changed their plans. As I said, the Skill Hunter title was changed just recently for the new elites for Rt and A. Also, Nightfall was first advertised to have 300 new skills (75 for P and D, 25 for the core classes). Now they are advertising 350 new skills, which is same as earlier, except both Rt and A are also getting 25 new skills.

Finally, they gave us confirmation on new armor for the Rit and Sin...in picture form! Had my doubts since they were chapter-specific, but it looks like they will give additional content for chapter-specific professions as they progress to future chapters. With new armor that they'll be adding for them, new weapons will probably be added for the Rit and Sin professions. Finally, they show some of us who doubted new content for the Rit and Sin that we were wrong.

Those who think Anet wouldn't continue to support Sin and Rt must not have much business sense. Factions was released as a stand alone product so that those who didn't own Profecies could jump right into the game with the rest of the players. Releasing a new expansion (Nightfall) without support for Factions characters would completely alienate the players who only own Factions, ultimately causing losses in product sales for Nightfall. Sin and Rt are part of the "core" classes now and will be treated as such. I am confident that Anet will cover there Assassins and Ritualists if not for any other reason than to make more money and keep the players happy.

I also expect that any future game releases of Guild Wars will contain new content for the Paragon and Dervish for the same reasons.

Well, they don't always have to give us an official word. That picture on guildwars.com is pretty much a preview on what the new armor design will be. I remember seeing the same Elementalist armor design in the character creation screen when they accidently added in Elonian characters. I know there is thread somewhere in here with pictures of it. So, basically the picture on the site is showing new armor for the Canthan professions (Rit/Sin).

The thing is people who own Factions only aren't limited to making rits and sins, they can make any of the core classes. Those core characters will be supported by Nightfall. Factions-only owners are only slightly aliented by a discontinuation of support for special classes, they're free to take their core characters to Elona.

Sin and rit are *not* core classes, there's no guarantee they will get anything further. Thankfully it looks like Anet will not be completely ignoring them in the future, we'll just have to wait and see how much support they get.

Well ok, but like I said above, I personally think that's only a picture of one of the Heroes.

There are in total 12 different heroes. Three of them (KOSS, TAHLKORA, and MAGRID THE SLY) are listed at the top of that page. Considering there are 12 heroes; and only ten characters in that picture; with three of the heroes definitely not in that picture; I'd venture that none of those are heroes but just generic characters to show the new armors.

Well, I hope to be pleasantly surprised then. I like to avoid disappointment, I try not to get my hopes up about things that Anet doesn't state clearly and literally. I think a lot of us remember all those fiascos over character slot math and Gaile's "wait and see before you complain," etc. etc.

Some of you guys are just too conditioned to assuming the worst.
It will be what i allways expected:

New armor, skills and items for Assa's/Rit's = Yes

Elonian skins for Assa's/Rit's = No. You can only make primaries of those professions in Factions

Then there's the fact that a couple of those armors such as the ele, dervish, necro, and paragon have already been confirmed as armor types for PCs.

I told you this months before, and I'm saying it again, this time with solid proof:

YES, there will be new armor for Assassins and Ritualists (everything else would be stupid regarding the game mechanics of having a sequel of add-ons of which each one introduces new professions) !

Just scroll down and have a look at the picture that's including all professions:
http://www.guildwars.com/support/gam...nts/nightfall/

What do we see? -- Exactly. Just as Nightsaber already posted.

So, why are some ppl here always assuming the worst and also zealously trying to convince others of their beliefs? I'm glad this discussino is finally over... now I'm waiting for next "No, there's never gonna be [...]" one! What's it gonna be?
