I've been playing for a good part of 4 months now.

I only have 1 character , a male Assassin. Although i've done most of Tyria with him aswell.

I can honestly say that I have never truely farmed before. Not that I could anyway Assassin .

I am signing #1.

First thing I went for were the good weapons, I saved my ass off for the 1-19 stage, and at 20 I had enough to buy full 1.5k exotic and a set of Zelous Dragon Scythes of Fortitude which I am still using.

From there it was all uphill, each few missions and explorable areas rake in about 1.5k in random merchant fodder, not to mention getting masters. Yet, I still saved every penny. Once I hit Levi pits I had enough to buy my 15k Luxon set, about 115k worth.

From there I got into pvp more, cashed in all my faction for jade which can make you roughly 5k every 1hr 30mins.

Then I started in Tyria, where I was immediately ran to ToA by guildies, thus began my FoW days. While I didnt farm the place, I did it alot. Every spare few hours I had was spent in FoW , not farming, but clearing the entire area as intended.

So with the money I had gathered from there + the shards , I was slowly able to peice together my FoW set.

Now i'm horribly poor, as my heart lyes in pvp, and all faction points go straight to the guild.

Oh, i'll restate, I have only been playing for 4 months.

almost always had less than 10k except right after sorrow's furnace was released before the drops got nerfed.

as far as number 2, I bought a perfect stanbce longsword a long time ago for 5k cuz I wanted the skin (and used stance), plus I got a perfect bow the other day..

number 3, never had anything other than 1.5k or collector's armour. I do consider Luxon armour between 1.5k and 15k armour due to the price of jade and have that, but never anything more. I used to just have collector's armour before Factions came out.

I will admit though that I've given up on golds and just go after greens now. I have quite a collection of greens that I keep building up..

About, 30k? I think that's what's in the ol' Bank Box today... Of course, I can't bear farming for more than about 20 minutes at a time. It's soooo boring! But still, 20 minutes is 10 Elona runs. That's 10k if you're lucky.

No 15k armours, thank you very much (the stats are the same! The same! That's just not worth anything), but I do have about 30 sets of 1.5k armour. Huge storage problem, actually. I want a dresser. But that's off-topic...

And uh, what was the third one? Oh right, weapons. Well, I have a bunch of collector's weapons, because, you know... Collector weapons ftw. Not many mods, though, because it's actually kinda hard to find almost-max mods. You know, the cheap kind? Well, not hard, but time-consuming.

I'm nearly broke, been playing just under a year, and dont have any 15k, but then again, i dont go out and farm until i NEED money - plus im always buying dyes and toys and SKILLS for 6 toons.... which gets expensive.

Since i dont have any war or monk primaries and i have a policy against running people anywhere it IS a bit more difficult to make farming cash BUT anyone who plays the game, and picks up ALL drop items as they go CANT be broke. Quit leaving all those 50g items lying around as you play, learn to salvage what you can't carry, and quit buying minipets, etc, unless u plan to re-sell them. And stop wasting money on playing with Dyes :P like i do.

Oh.. and QUIT begging :P

ps... a good earth/war using bonetti's can farm Witman's with only Lina tagging along. Hammer it. Works for me.... ps- if that's not working for you, and u have an ele/mes... try making up a earth/insp build to compete with all those monk-bots in Elona. clear those pesky minos, alone, in under 3 mins, average 300-600gold a go, and the XP is great (you need the right weapons)

No perfect gold weapons; stopped farming completely about 4 months ago, yet still made enough money for 15k armor playing through the game; has less than 10k in storage currently.

Started playing in the orginal BWE Events

#1 -> No, but I have under 20k
#2 -> No, I have one. Do you count Collector / Greens as near perfect I do have those.
#3 -> Yes, several 15k pieces but no Fow Armor

Special: Divine Aura (GW CE), Special Dances (GW FE). I have all of the orginal pre-order items except War Pick (Game Stop) or the Celstrial Prism (Europe). I have the pre-order items for Factions. I also have pc gammer gray giant mini quest key on my account.

I have golds and greens
I have 15k armor(s) but no FoW armor.

Been playing for 15 months

if you spend every single penny you find, on beer, or crappy gear...
then you will stay under the 10k yes...

i got now 650k gold, and about 350 of that is farmed
leaving 300k of drops left...

my strategy, every item that drops between lvl 1 - 20 = SELL
after 20 i mostly sell it all, except the highly salvagebles,
i play for 1,5 year now (almost), and have 6 lvl 20s, of which 4 have full 15k armor and green/gold weapons.

it is defenatly possible to gain enough money for 1 15k set without farming.
but then you may not throw out all the money on crap things right...
selling your minipets is also an option...
6 characters of which 4 are already 1 year old, leaves 4 minipets... some doubles = sell those = defenatly over 10k gold ...

2) mostly perf weapons i use (fellblade, chaos axe, bla bla...)
3) 3 sets of 15k armor (dont care about FoW armor cuz its ridiculously ugly)

1800++ hours for 13 months

This post almost exactly mirrors my game experience.
You easily get +1k just by picking up all your white drops in a single late game mission. One single elite misison or UW/FoW trip might give you 3-4k or more, if you do not through away your money on keys.

The point is that its secretly a chance for people to brag about their money/items/armor

1 I have 300k because I farm adn I am stingy
2 I got most of my weapon from chest run, collector and drops, ocationally buying the upgrades parts
3 I don't have any 15k armor because I am stingy and feel unnessacesry when everyone dress like a batman or guyver, the gladiator armor make you look outstanding. 1.5k ele tyrian armor are just as sexy as 15k armor. my Sin? i was thinking 15k but they don't look too nice for me unless i miss and match a little . last word I am stingy

I had way too much fun farming Sorrows Furnace back when that came out and hence fell into a steady income for a while. After that I enjoyed the Barrage/Pet ToPK runs that became available. When Factions released I went through a period where I didn't make as much gold since I was too busy doing quests/missions and making new characters to really build up too much in savings, but I've recently gone back to trying out different ways to farm. I tried the solo FoW farm, but it got a little boring (as I have found most solo farm builds to be due to my personal taste), but I have started doing frequent Spirit Bond/SS duo UW runs which has helped my savings a bit.

I've never had Obsidian armor, but I still keep that possibility open. I have two accounts and a lot of characters, so I generally kept myself too spread to ever get a set for any of them, but who knows, maybe I'll settle down enough and actually save for long enough to get a set. :P
