Does it really matter how many armors have you bought during this year or more, or what you have done? I mean, farming is not something to be proud of o.0 Having fun is. In my opinion having a different looking character is quite enjoyable. While playing lots of pvp with pvp char is not so satisfying in "looks" point of view. But If you are having fun why would you be sorry for not having these items...?

after 1 year (in october) i have evrything that i need.......
3 15k sets (15k druids, 15k luxon and 15k kurizik), plenty of golds, greens, elite skills, +~100k cash left over after i bought Urgoz long bow
and no i hate farming as well, i just do the hight end missions and sell golds from chests and occasional green drops from SF, and keep my budged recovering (if i am not very lucky or have not too much time for long missions) by 2-3 UW 2 man runs per week

Hm.. I've had a total of 4 accounts, I have two still. The accounts were: r11 (19k fame), r10 (9k fame), my accounts now: r8 (4k fame), r0 (0 fame). Something around 6000 hours on my now main account. Not sure what that equates to, adding all accounts hours.
aaaaaaand.. I quit gw about a month ago.
edit: oh oh and I've been playing since alpha.

I said I started farming them almost as soon as I got to ventaries refuge... from that point in the game I have spent about half my time farming, the other half working on characters doing missions ect...
Don't think that just because it'd take you a lifetime to make some money that everyone is as slow as you are.

14 Months. No gold. No items. 1 PvP Char. Around 70% skills unlocked (Core and Prophecies that is, ain't touching Factions again)

7 months, I farm a hour a week tops, mostly it's like 10 minutes. Don't eBay. All drops come from missions and the fact that I always carry keys in level 20 area's. I play an avarage of a hour per day and one day with 4 hours of play.

Two accounts...7 ascended chars, 2 others very close, one pre-searing storage character, one pre-searing dye farmer character, 1 slot with a brand-new mesmer. Between both I only have two sets of 15k armor on one character, but I've probably got somewhere around 250-350k gold, tons of max weapons of all types (collector's, purples, golds, greens), plenty of materials & dyes, spare runes, etc. I farm occasionally for fun (hydras, griffons, minotaurs, ettins, rarely desert wurms & sand giants) and with my pre- character, but mostly just play through the game. One of these days I might even get around to finishing Factions lol.

Even playing through the game my first time, I was able to save up 40k when I reached Droknar's Forge. Later on, when I learned how to trap in underworld, I was able to make enough money for the things I wanted. I have since wasted most of the money.

3. /signed, I've given up on 15K/Obsidian armor. I don't have the time or money to work toward those. I'd love to have them, though. Hard enough for me to just get the 7.5K ones.
I'm around 600 hours played since GW:P release. Started during E3 for Everyone. I'd probably have more hours clocked, but I've got a wife, 2 kids, and 2 jobs. And my wife wishes I played less.

it feels strange that the OP has so little since making money shouldn't be a problem if you play the game normally and getting perfect weapons nowadays is relatively cheap depending on the skin of your weapon.
1 can apply to anyone
2 makes no since it handicaps the person and getting like I said before is easy.
3 this is a choice for people since not everyone likes buying armor that others won't notice right away or at all. This is mainly for self-satisfaction.

Come on man, you're just lying. You get way over 10K by just going through the storyline, you can easily buy 1.5K armor by the time you get to Droknar's Forge (and probably at Kaineng City too, but I've never had a Canthan character), and the last missions will most certainly get you a couple of Platinum.
1. The most gold I've ever had is 1000K (I also had 250 Ectos and 250 Shards at that time). Didn't take long to spend, and now, I barely have anything. I deleted both my characters with a FoW set, including all their customized items, of course.
2. The only perfect Gold item I have is a Gladius at this moment, with -5 Energy, but I guess I'm just one of the few that doesn't mind using Collector's items.
3. I only have one set of 15K currently, but I've had 2 FoW sets, and I'd say about 20 15K sets over the last 16 months
These days I don't really care about gold anymore. FoW sets are all ugly, so I don't have to worry about, and if I want to, I can farm enough gold for a 15K set in 2 days, so if I want a 15K set, I just farm a couple of hours.

Ok, truth is I don't have 10 plat on any account. Heck, I might not have 10 plat total. I don't have 15K Armour on any of my girls. I buy a lot of stuff for friends and newbies, so I tend to have gold run through my fingertips. The only thing I'm sort of manic about is the holiday items.
And I don't have... ah wait, I might have the perfect weapon, thanks to a guildie who gave me a lovely vampiric bow. (Come to think of that, that may not be perfect, but dang I love that bow!)

i've never really bothered with gold weapons. I found one boring skined( great axe) axe with 20% to enchant so i kept it for my rit lord. I also have a ffew greens but most of them i just sell.

1,2 and 10 i dont even have 500g XD as soon as i get cash i spend it on total %$&@ like when i decided to buy 100 unid weps for 200k right after i got the cash by selling my hard earned weapons, none were 15^50 or anything good i salvaged them all lol.

I dont dig the look on any "set armor" I perfer mix them around myself so I dont need to worry about ecto and shards(I gave them to friends that want them)

Now, all my friend are wealthier then me.
I am the last to get my 15k armors
So other then ecto and shard or perfect items, they hardly ask for anything anymore
I still have few perfect and close perfect weapon that I dont use in stock. Money is only good when you have something in mind, so I never get off my lazy ass to sell them
I think I have a few perfect bows, since I find you doing a good job as a pr, I will make sure I give you something next time I see you.

15k armor isnt hard to get, I remember when I got my first and that was just from playing the prophecies story line.
knowledge = money, even if you know how to do it you still have to actually DO IT. There is no place to go where you receive a sure 100k an hour.

I have 11 Players Slots (8 PvE, 1 Mule, 2 PvP Slots). As far as disclosing the number of hours that I play I am at work an d not able to check that figure nor would I care to tell any of you that number cause I am sure that it is an extremely embarrassing number. But hey at least I have a fun hobby that I never grow tired of. I can't wait to dig into Nightfall!
