Why? Because I don't care for perfect gold weapons. My casters mostly use crafted or collector items, as well as greens. I don't like my warrior half as much, so I don't really care if she's running around with 13^50 swords or whatnot... I have, however, sold some perfect weapons

As for the others... all my characters have at least some 15k armor. I have no FoW, because I don't like it... the downside is I hardly have any more room for money now

Yes they do!!!

What do you think farming is, killing monsters over and over again?

It's the repetative action of doing an activity over and over again, for items or gold, or exp.

Chest runs, capping, green hunting, ect.

lol, you read the topic and say"wow, what an amzing question, is it even possible?" then u come here to see who is playing for 1+ year and doesnt have 10k, but all you see is:

/notsignet
i have 999999999999k in storage and 4324 perfect and 534 fow armor on each of my 8 chars (which are dyed black, as u know)
and some more *showoff, showoff*

pls read the question before answering!

its just like that threat about ppl who helped you in GW, all you could see there was: "none ever helped me but once i gave someone 2000000k, and another time i gave someone 5 fow armors for his new char, bla bla bla"
boring!

4 chars: warrior, monk, ranger, elementalist
2 fow's, 2 15k's
Full gear and all ready for pvp.

I stopped farming a long time ago and headed off to pvp. I didn't need anymore money anyway, since I already have all my gear set.
My first set of fow didn't even require any advice or sites to get any farming builds. I tend to find out ways my myself.

Capping is not farming. By your definition it would require a reward of items, gold or exp through doing it and that has to be the reason you are doing it. Capping does give exp, but it doesnt count if you were not doing it for the exp. I doubt many people would cap for the exp. Most would cap for the skill.

/signed for all. You couldn't have described me better. Of course, there have been instances where I've had more than 10k but I generally spend money as soon as I get it. I've spent over 50k learning to solo UW, and have recieved only 8k in return. Currently I'm at absolute 0 as far as money goes.

Kinda funny actually.

<6 months and notsigned 123

I got around 200k (I quit farming, awhile back because of PvP and my stack has dwindeld) got some perf gods, and I have all 3 of my characters in 15k and my war has Obsidian helm. Not to mention he has 15k helm, and my ranger and monk both have a second set of droks armor.

Funniest part is, that's really not that impressive. How can you play for a year and not have at least 1 set of 15k armor.

lol? Why would you spend 50k learning to solo UW? I'm assuming you mean one of two things. You've paid 50k in entry fees and die everytime. Or you paid 50k for a lesson. Reguardless, you could just simply watch a video of it and basically get 75% of the jist of what to do.

Looks like this is a "post how much wealth you have" boasting thread for most people.

To the OP.. how is that even possible?! I've never farmed, I just played through the PvE story. For doing any high-end mission (the ones with level 20+ enemies) with a full team of 8, you can get over 1000 gold from drops and the stuff you sell to the merchant. Honestly, I don't believe you've never had a perfect gold drop or never had over 10k. I get around 1.5k just for doing a mission in Cantha. I've seen loads of perfect golds drop as well.. I just sell them to the merchant. I don't have a reason to farm, I have enough money for anything I'd want to buy just from playing the game.

In Tyria it's slightly different. I was poor until I reached the Southern Shiverpeaks, but then finishing the game I had more than 10k. The more characters that I finished it with, the more money I had. If you really have no money, you must have spent it all on nice stuff or given it away. Or be the most unlucky person in the world.

Well, been playing since release. 7 fully leveled characters, 6 in Prophecies, an Assassin in Factions. Got plenty of plat, no perfect golds I don't think, lots of greens and mods I'm just too lazy to sell sitting in the bags of a PvP mule. All of my chars have the finest, most of which I got myself, not farming, just visiting the boss of interest now and again with a full crew of henchies. Maybe I'm lucky. Everthorn dropped his Chakrams on about the fourth visit.

I got Chkkr's Pincer's by accident, late at night, sleepy, just wanted to test a new warrior build, decided to go out and kill off some nice crunchable mantises. Aggroed through sheer stupidity, wound up head to head with old Chkkr who obligingly dropped me the Pincers.

Few things were given to me, because I give away cool stuff when I don't need it, SSkai's Sword, Geoffer's Bulwark, etc. Or, you go out into the Footprint, you get a Yakslapper you don't need maybe, then trade it for something you do need.

But I can understand what OP is saying. If you are not in a guild with some people who understand PvE it is hard. Haunting the forums helps too.
