Nightfall Q&A Thread: Pre-order and Retail

I have a question.

Where is the best place to PRE-ORDER the CE. Because some places offer extra things... with Walmart you get a Nightfall T-shirt, GameStop give you a free poster etc... so where would be the best place to PRE-ORDER the CE? Thanks in advance.

Well I think you need to prioritize what is more important to you. Do you want the game as soon as possible? Or do you want cool extras? If you want the special goodies; which one sounds coolest for you?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I played GW before Factions came out, and I know that Factions was a full game that did not required the original GW on the machine.

I'm just curious. Is nightfall gthe same way?

Are we supposed to have had to buy the pre-order pack in addition to pre-ordering the game?

I had to pay $5.00 which I was told did not count towards the purchase of the actual Nightfall game... just curious as this was NOT the way it worked before.

Yes that is as it should be. Anet no longer offers a "preorder box", now they have the "pre-release bonus pack". They use the specific wording as it is considered a seperate retail package and not a free gift. Some retailers still offer it free, but not all. It is upto each individual retailer to decide how to handle the bonus pack.

You only had to pay $5.00 for it if you didnt order the CE and got the regular one, if you got the CE it was free

Okay, got a question

Ordered the CE from EBgames for 2 day shipping
They get the game in a week or 2 ahead..
Will they ship it out of the 24th or 25th so that it gets here on the 26th or 27th? Or will i have to wait till the 30th or 31st?

They ship 27:th unless you get a manager/drone that doesnt follow the distribution contract.

Just wondering, whether I preorder the CE edtion on amazon or buy it when it come out at local storn, will that be any difference?
There is no answer from amazon yet, they havn't charged money on my credit card as well, however my taiwan server account already received the game itself and the cd-key can be used as well, just the game hasn't started.

If there is no difference from preorder online and buy at local store when it's out, then I would probably cancel my order at amazon.
It sounds like if you buy at local store it will be faster somehow since don't need to wait for shipping.

I think I already know the answer but want to be certain. I already got a preorder key entered and a extra slot reserved. If I were to enter a 2nd preorder key, will it give me another extra character slot?

In my haste to guarantee that I had the preorder for Pre-Event...
I find myself with 3 maybe 5 unopened PreOrder Boxes is there any way that I can resell these items to players that cannot obtain them?
I even have leftover Prophecies and Faction Preorder Boxes <Sigh>

Yes you can as long as you DO NOT sell them ingame and the are UNOPENED.

i have a question:

i went to EBgames and futureshop (in canada) and they both said that they will receive the game on the 26. But on guildwars.com it says 27 worldwide. whos right?
