Event Extended :)

Thought you'd like to know: The Nightfall World Prevent Event will be extended 12 hours, until 11:59 a.m. PDT (18:59 GMT) on Monday!

You'll see a news post soon, but in the meantime, I thought you'd like the scoop.

Sweet news, more time to explore

Oh..There's something I didn't think of.

If the event is ending at around noon in the U.S. Gaile, the majority of players will be at school or work.

Not a big deal for me missing the last 12 hours, but my main concern is will we all miss the end beta event, assuming there is one?

Cool, but I probably won't use much of the extra time.

As opposed to midnight when normal people with school or work are asleep anyway.

i guess that was suppose to make up for the delay...

Midnight on a weekend is at least much more accessible than early - late morning on a weekday.

For me, school doesn't start until 9am. I dont normally go to sleep until around midnight on a regular basis, and thats more or less the same with other students across the nation.

When your doing it at (what probably will start) 10:00am or so, majority of Americans will be at work, and school.

So I dont know your life and business, when you go to work/school, and sleep, it may be different then others.

My only point, is that there are more teens in the GW community (I remember a large poll way back when..) and it's simply more accessable to players when the event starts at 10 or 11 o'clock on a weekend.

Dont get me wrong or anything, I dont intent to sound selfish at all, just voicing my personal opinion.

I do not know that there is any sort of finale planned. I will ask. In the meantime, the extension is in response to player requests, and I'm really happy that we're making the extra effort to offer it.

I have enjoyed the preview event and will most likely be purchasing Nightfall. I probably won't be able to get on for a while, so I gave away my gold and items to the first person I could find. If there is a finale I will be happy yet sad I cannot attend!

Yeah, we're all really happy that your listening to players and making the extra effort as well . Seems like 90% of Nightfall's new features are all idea's from us . So sorry, I didn't mean to sound unapprecaitive at the extention.

Meh, anyone on Guru fraps literate? With the change in time the event is now finishing around 4am AEST on a workday. I could get up that early, but I'm not sure I particularly want to do so and then work 12 hours.
