So, I was thinking. Dervishes got the ability to transform into the physical manifestation of the gods they worship. Varesh Ossa, the evil ruler, is a dervish. Varesh worships Abaddon, the 6th outcast god. See where I am going?
1+1+1=3
What if we were to fight Varesh as part of the storyline, and she had the skill "Avatar of Abaddon", allowing her to transform into her god? This would of course be a monster skill, and thus not available for capture.
Thoughts? Comments?

Varesh's evilness is an obvious plot misdirection. You don't make a character of such immaculate pedigree (bloodline of Turai Ossa, the greatest Elonian hero EVAR!!!) and for no reason make them irredeemably evil.
Prediction: Varesh is either (a) already fallen and under the control of the Abaddon cult, or (b) secretly keeping a watch on the Abaddon cult so she can spring her counter at the most opportune time.
I think the way Nightfall will come about will be a twist we don't yet expect. I will be greatly disappointed if this is another Shiro rehash, with the bad guy identified from the start.

A twist would provide more interest but also possibly throw away a character with a vast potential for development into a prime villain. Either way works, so long as it's done well...
Also, Varesh is 'evil' because of General Kahyet, her teacher. How Kahyet managed to convert Varesh is another story...

I DEMAND that if there is a Avatar of Abaddon, players can also get it
. I mean it's most likely going to look cool, I hope that if there would be one it would be like this http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...0&postcount=99 (I mean it would look like that big statue.)

Personaly, i have my doubts about Kormir.... i remember her doing something funny to a statue related to Abaddon in the opening scene for char making or somesuch, and you hear about Kormir poking around old ruins related to the Scarab Plague and more things like that.
all we know is that one of the main villans is a "she" but we have two canidates or one that has not been seen.
so, Kormir has the same chance of being Evil that Varesh does, although at first i thought Kormir was Nfs Togo/Rurik

An interesting idea, (good call indeed) to see that there is a twist somewhere. However if someone does turn into the avatar, I don’t see it being the final version of Abaddon (something like a practice version of the god). Then when the truth is revealed you find out that you screwed up big time, setting everything in motion for his return (as he has foreseen). It would even cooler if he sends his adepts after you, from the prophecies and factions campaigns; so you could see how things came full circle (possibly someone you thought was totally irrelevant to Abaddon’s cause); like the emperor (the one that got killed by Shiro) from factions and Saul D’Alessio (the one that started the white mantle) from prophecies. I know that’s a bit far fetched, but you could make some connections.

Please A-Net stay away from that plot twist.
