This is an event? We've sure come a long way since last Halloween...

I can picture it now. "For this year's Halloween event, you get 2x XP because it's the same week as Nightfall release and you'll need it for your new characters!"

These "events" are getting less and less "special"

EDIT: To stay on topic, I believe there will be an initial flood, so the prices will drop. Within a week or so, I would expect the prices to rebound slightly as people will have less incentive to go farming for greens, especially since the drop rates will decrease.

It's Cantha only - Totem Axe is unaffected. I don't think it will work on the elite bosses, because they're 100% drop anyway. This weekend event just doubles likelyhood.

Exactly, the drop rates are so low that nobody will notice any difference. And I really don't like all those Cantha-only events, because I ain't going back to this smelly, boring place again.

The past 4 days (double skill cap xep weekend) I've killed over 70 different bosses in factions, and I have gotten ONE green...The Pain Eater. Now this weekend, I can get a green after killing only 35 bosses. Awesome.

Only in Cantha, what not enough ppl playing there. Anet get over it already! Should be in both, after all prophecies is a part of GW is it not.
Not happy with exclusion - and I have both games.

And they are scheduling network maintenance - 12am- ?? Saturday. You may experience disconnection during this time - too funny.

This "Events" are not really "Special" or a "events" for me...

Each Time its a Double something Event and its nearly each week-end lol I prefer to have less Events but more creative ones like Haloween or the Xmas one with Candy Canes and Candy Weapons

I Remember my first Events was the xmas one, it was funny because of the atmosphere that was created, the Hat , The Decorations , The gifts, Candy Canes , Candy weapons

So this is the kind of event i hope to see again.

Not to scare anyone but last time we have a double farming event (chest-drops) I remember i was farming different spot mulitple times. After i came back from the double drop event. Almost all the drops were purple. I hope this won't ruin your chance for future green drops.

I've only ever seen 4 greens drop in the entire time I've played GW, three of which were Shing Jea greens and the 4th dropped for someone else...

Me, I think this is cool. I think some people kinda miss the point of these events - it's to generate some interest that doesn't involve writing assloads of code (such as the "holiday" events people have been moaning about). From ANet's end, this is a quick tweak in percentage, and bam. Comparing the two kinds of "events" is apples and oranges.

So I'm definately going to be out farming my butt off.

I agree with the 2 X 0 comment...

I have personally capped over 20 elites on my Ritualist/Elementalist, and have gotten ONE whopping green in that timeframe (Lian's Lantern). That's pretty bad odds considering I was soloing, and had no henchmen to share the loot with.

Meh, the only green items I ever enjoyed farming were the ones from SF or ToPK in Prophecies. Canthan green farming is almost always solo farming a single boss over and over.
