Have you already gotten your Retail Box of Nightfall CE or Standard?

If you have already gotten your copy of Guild Wars Nightfall Collectors Edition or Standard please post in this thread:

I haven't got mine yet, but I called EB today and they expect to have it in stores on the 23rd. Now if they allow you to accually pick it up then is another question.

I just got off the phone with a EB close to me here and they told me their computer says the 27th and they don't have any knowledge of it coming any earlier.

The reason I created this thread is because someone posted pictures of the Collectors Edition. That lead me to believe that some stores must be carrying it early. I just do not want to have to wait until the 27th to get the game. I'd rather have the box and the key early and go ahead and enter my key and just come home from work on the 27th and play right away. Here in Atlanta the traffic is just horrible and to have to fight traffic on the way home from work on a Friday and stop into EB or Gamestop is just gonna be killer. I might not even be in the mood to play after all that. I'd much rather be able to get it this weekend while I am off.

Sounds like a good idea Death, I will look around my area and see if they put it out yet.

Well thats what my local EB said. Plus there is already a thread with images of the contents of the CE.

I think Nightfall is street dated for the 27th, meaning retailers can't sell it before that. Unfortunately I'd bet you'll be fighting traffic on the way to pick it up.

Please do remember that even if you get your box early, you will only gain access to Nightfall content at 07:00am GMT on the 27th. That's midnight PDT (Seattle), 08:00 BST (UK), 09:00 CEST (Europe), 17:00 AEST (Sydney) and etc.

You'll obviously still be able to drool on the manual and other CE goodies should you have chosen the CE.

hey Alex, is the street date the 27th or can stores put them out before then, like the 25 or 26? I would to go get mine on the 25th seeing that is my Bday

Oh of course. I'm fine with having to wait till the 27th to actually play Nightfall, but I would MUCH rather be able to get it sooner rather than having to wait until Friday cause traffic is just going to be horrible. I am sure that everyone would appreciate it if NCSOFT could perhaps send out a memo to Gamestops and EBGames and whomever else telling them it is okay to sell before the 27th if they get their shipments earlier. Cause unless EB hears otherwise they will hold off until the 27th.

I am hoping I can atleast get it by the 26th so I can have the key added to my account for when the server content goes live. I will be going nuts all day Friday until I can get into town and pick up my copy of the game.

Just called EBGames here (Florida) and it's still set to come in on the 27th. Boo

The ultimate for games like this that are server side activated would be for the box to have a ship/release date a week or two before it goes live. I'd much rather have the box, key entered and ready for the switch to be flipped than to know the game is accessible and have to rely on shipment timing - which we know can be several days. By not having a headstart key this time around it is quite possible that I won't be able to access Nightfall until the following Monday. I'm hoping that's the worst case scenario. I ordered the CE of course, otherwise I'd just pick up a copy at a store.

Good thing that the EB I go to is at the mall 5 minutes away from my house.
Once I'm done work then I will be passing by to pick up my CE.
I cannot wait.

iirc street date means if they sell it earlier the store is up for a big A$$ fine

According my local EB Games here in Sweden they are releasing it on the 20th. I told them that sounded abit early but they said that's the date they have in their computers. So hopefully when I stop by tomorrow my CE will be there waiting for me.

See there...how come the EB's here in the states have to make us wait? If it came out here tomorrow that would mean I could go get my CE on Saturday and get lunch out and stop by Golds for a while and come home relaxed and energized with a copy of Nightfall CE. If I have to wait til Friday then I will be angry and tired from work/traffic. Please oh please release a little early.

My guess is that someone found a picture of the CE Box contents somewhere and posted it the forums. We can hope that we can purchase the game a day or two prior to the official live date, but I wouldn't hold my breath. My bro-in-law works at one of the local EB Games and I will ask him about the possibility of it hitting the shelves a day early.

The late Factions-CE delivery back in April/May really left a bad taste in my mouth...

Yeah really. I ordered 3 copies of CE and only got 2. I then had to decide who got the 2 copies I received and who got left out, me, my daughter or one of my best friends.

hm, I seem to remember making a comment about having the copy in the store a while before release so that the factions fiasco wouldnt be repeated.....guess it is a good idea.. I would LOVE to have my copy early so I can start playing when it goes live, instead of playing with traffic to try and get mine.
But alas I dont see the stores around here actually selling things on time (just go to best buy sometime, they are like a week or two behind everyone else!).
So traffic it is for me, (but I might look early justhesame)
