There will always be the fools who say, "Hey a dye drop weekend? I wanted a 100% chance of green drops curse you Anet!!!".
But, like all the weeknds, I'll play with it. It's really cool they add this for some dye options. Heck, maybe they added it now so people don't (and can't) farm the heck out of them, in Nightfall anyways.

Well since they nerfed farming, they need to start getting real creative about how people are going to make money now. Good luck finding a way to buy fissure armor without farming or ebaying gold. I see buying GW off the web skyrocketing as a result of the recent changes.

I got a black dye like 6 month ago while going through a mission in Sorrow Furnace. Just two days ago, i was farming for roots outside Kamada and one of the plant enemy died and dropped me a black dye.

Just over 100 hours play and I have a black and a white dye drop... but only one gold item drop!

I used to have this problem but it fixed itself. Bad luck for ya mates. 
PS: I already dropped 2 blacks, 1 white and a brown since the update. Usually blacks drop only like once a month for me.

I still get yellow drops for me like no tomorrow.
When the big patch went live last week, and white and brown was added, I saw them drop for people left right and center.
And what dropped for me, you guessed it, more yellow.

I have been playing since Betas and I have had THREE blacks drop the entire time...

I got one black dye in my first 2000 hours of playtime, and I've gotten four more in my third 1000 hours, so it really is randomized like mad. I've already gotten one white dye, when they were still selling for 17k or so... However I was a victim of the bug that wasn't allowing the outpost after gates of desolation to load. I wasn't just stuck outside the area, I actually loaded enough that I was INSIDE the zone and would log in to that character to be booted out. There wasn't any notification for me when the bug was fixed, so by the time I logged him back in white was down to 12k, so I didn't even bother selling it
Ahhh well, I probably wasn't going to sell it anywhere I guess...

Dye drops are odd. Had 2 blacks since release then three in the week before nightfall. Couldn't sell them for slightly below the trader price, hung onto them and now they'll be even more worthless. Oh well, black dyed paragon here I come I guess.
Good weekend though as I want lots of dyes, however a double (or x10) insignia weekend would be better.

I've gotten 3 Black dyes so far and all of them were in Pre-Searing. Seriously. I threw them away cuz I didn't have enough room in my bag and I didn't know the value or purpose of Dye at the time. *sigh*
Lately I've gotten alot of Silver Dye. 2 over the weekend alone.

In my entire gameplay only 2 black dyes droped for me [ one in UW while dualing, and another at those low level gangsters in Shing jea while Barrage farming Orbs when we didnt know there were orb quests the next day].
And recently a white dye droped while farming Orr emblems for Halloween.
Sold it for about 25k before price droped to 11k like it is now ^____^

since we are all comparing played time vs black dyes.......I'm around 2500 hours and 6 or 7 blacks.
And while for me double dyes aren't something to jump and shout about, considering all the new gray suits of armor I'm seeing, the timing is pretty good.

As for the double dye drop weekend, I hope it doesn't interfere with other drops. Like what if it makes greens a tad bit less likely to drop?
What I'd like to see is a black and white dye triple drop weekend to get more of those out in the trade. Then hopefully people won't have to pay so much for them.

I've gotten over 120 Silver and 20 or so Black Dye drops since I started playing 16 months ago. No Whites so far, but two Brown. I'm hoping I can stock up on Blue since that is what I dye most of my armor.
