I made this thread simply because this event provided so much fun I hadnt had in a long time playing Guild Wars.

We all know this event as been much desired and sought after, and Anet did an Excelent Job in bringing it back, with an Elonian Halloween side as well.

Hell of a good way to start Nightfall.

I just cant let compliments pass when people deserve them.

Heres my small tribute, showing the fun I had during this amazing event:

Awsome screen captures!

I must say the Halloween event has been great fun. Gathering around to meet the Mad King brought a buzz and ping that needs to be continous in GW.

hats are awsome, got one for my rit. But just got screwed on my necro.
Stayed up late to catch the 12-12:30 EST one, and mad king didn't give me a hat, lots of other stuff but no hat :/
(attempting an afk for the last one...I want that hat for him!)

Otherwise awsome event, love ways to keep my rit with a drinking problem going

The soulreaping was AWSOME XD
just seeing all that 7's flying around the screen :P
The "mad king say's" game was also cool (i didn't read the explanation the first time, so my warrior got owned quite a few times :P)

Those stupid "press alt-f4 to get the pumpkinhad" kids are the only complaint i have. Not that i did it, but i find it childish, because i did see some people log off...

A big, fun party and new holiday garments.

Bad:

Can't decide which was more sad - the morons who constantly kept clicking Mad King, making the whole event last 45 minutes or the people who kept arrogantly spamming on and on OMG WHAT NOOBS HAHA U SUCK NOOBS whenever someone died during Mad King Says. That's holiday spirit for you.

Mad king says is basically the highlight of Helloween.
I just have to laugh when people flame and bitch and
moan at the king if he kills them just because they
failed to read what he said.

Besides, the clicking does not change anything. That
is just an urban myth.

So true, that's the first thing I hated about this event, second was the amazingly bad lag I got the entire time.

I miss Drok and Ascalon in full drab :-( I did like the little stand-ups in Kamadan. I was going to take a screenshot behind the Char stand-up till I realized only my neck showed through the hole where the head goes lol... or maybe it was the house, I can't remember...

for the future, I hope they will disable the Mad King answering clicks from people so that it doesn't cause him to pause/turn.

best: the event itself ^^ i missed halloween last year

worst: the rudeness of some people ~_~ i swear it was just a constant stream of insults about people's mothers whenever i was in Kamadan/LA in the english districts.

and the clicking didn't delay the event in any way, i attended it 5 times yesterday and all lasted 30 minutes.

Good: Free booze and goodies from the Mad King. Mad King Says was hilarious. I somehow got 2 mins of Drunkard time!!
Bad: RL drunkards making salacious comments about eating candy corn online.

Fun!
- Having your necro with high soul reaping near the Mad King

- Yay, witch and wizard hats (shamefully wears it in PvE)!
- Managing to get to both witches and pumpkin hat in one visit
- Transforming into Candy Corn!
- The boat parties were fun

Not so Fun!
- As mentioned in Gaile's post, the behavior of some people got out of hand.
- People selling the event items at a very high price...

The whole thing was a big highlight for me, not to mention I have never recieved so much Soul Reaping in one go, the Mad King was the best though.

Also finding a drop in-town, was assigned to a player and everything.

well, it was great fun for me, Halloween is one of my favorite days of the year. Too bad for some of the people that left their characters afk with no inventory space, their items dropped on the ground. The immature people were annoying, but I ignored most of it because I was handing out candy at the door as well. It was fun, seeing everyone get killed over and over during "mad king says". I even messed up a few times, lol.

Best part - playing the silly games and getting the hats. (Even when I died because I didn't react fast enough or typed something wrong.) Good fun!

Worst Part - Arrogent bastards calling people noobs, telling people to alt-f4, telling people to click on the king, etc. Tends to ruin the fun. Some holiday spirit there.

Edited to add - Wearing the witches hat hides your hair -- got a chance to see the tattoos on the neck of my Ritualist. I never had her wear the Rit's headgear, so didn't see the cool tattoos with 15k Luxon armor.

He - well since I missed Halloween last year, this was something I was looking forward to. It was great to see a whole group of people dancing around the cauldron in LA in synch. Too cool

Also of course the Mad King himself, and the items are neat. Lots of fun!
