It was a blast, this was my first event, last year I wasn't around to participate.
I loved the Mad King.
I got called upon to perform Rock Paper Scissors with the Mad King, unfortunately "I Chose Poorly"(I love that quote, it is fitting).

And in particular,when it went silent, i found those random woman screams quite funny and unexpected

This event was fun. I enjoy his lame jokes but dont' enjoy that being called a noob when you're AFK and didn't follow his command in "mad king said" game.
Funny how everyone is clicking on the mad king didn't realize that you're actually slowing him down by doing that.

Yes the DONT CLICK NOOBS was just... well it was stupid in my opinion because you have people who WILL click just because you said DONT... -_- So in the end I suggested to those who were having such a fit over it to find a less crowded district and thusly there would be less yelling.
And it still surprizes me that people cannot realize that so many people are just afk.... However some guy kept cussing cause he kept dieing and I just told him to learn to emote lol. He was actually going "LOL" instead of /laugh at the mad kings jokes even though there was someone in the district that was nice enough to tell people what emote to use... *rolls eyes* some people need it spelled out I guess o_O

I had my laptop logged into one account on the american servers and my main comp
logged into other account on Euro servers, the Mad king always showed up
on the american servers first, usually about 30secs. so I was double-dipping
as much as I could.
I couldn't really see any slow-down from the clicking, seemed like maybe he
lost a minute or two, but that was it, cause I was typing commands in on
both servers and they stayed pretty much in sync, but was really funny
watching everyone having fun.

The moment i said this.. almost half the peoples in one dist ran up to Mad King and start clicking. When they got nothing back, they type in all cap... "HEY WHERE IS THE ECTOS". So funny how peoples think you can get things for free by doing stupid stuffs.

I got picked twice in one event for the rock/paper/scissors. But the first time I was picked I was afk and the second time I tied him.

Thanks Anet for this halloween great event. In this days, where youre having loads of work with NF , really trying to fix all glichtes and errors , you introduce the Halloween, even in in NF scenaries.

To those that could be there during the Mad King's Visit and participate in the fun and were able to get hats, congratz. (I wasn't one of them).
I too was impressed at the Nightfall launch (very good pre-load before it going live) plus having a event during launch work as it was suppose to.

Twas much fun had by all... Especially running around town wearing only a Hat and a gut-full of Absinthe
I managed to pilfer about 40 of each item... What does everyone think the Halloween Items may be worth in 1-2 months?

How did I get so many? 8 chars getting both hats, 3 more just getting the witch hat (cause they're only lvl 3 lol) as well as some minor farming of the collectable items. Good fun! Party Time in the Guild Hall!

It was even better with "Local" turned off To all those people spamming "Just give me a hat you *****", get some holiday spirit. Anet did this for free for you, you ungrateful brats.

I thought the whole Halloween thing was great. You sure don't see anything like that in the FPS games I've played.

I missed it due having to attend a work "do". Was nice to see LA dressed up again though, bring back memories of last year..people spamming "when is da mad king due?" for days on end.

The Pumpkin and the Hat werent the only good thing from the event.
I personnally found this very amusing:
You can trasform into these litle things and run around an outpost and fight in this apearence (yet to confirm by myself but i think you can)
They were also bugged, lasting more much then the described 5 minutes.
I can give you some of them ingame (transformation potions) if you feel like you shouldve enjoyed the halloween more ^_^

Ya know the noob shouting to me wasn't so bad - I mean noob has become one of those things that just doesnt mean exactly what it used to - its not as derogatory as it used to be. Now I know for some people that still not the case but for most of the people I know its more of playful banter *shrugs*

Anyways yeah LOVED doing the lighthouse pic, but good lord if EVERYONE had been there... We never would have survived that - sanity would surely be lost and the alliance would have gone out the window lol! I hope we are all still together in this alliance for the next one - maybe we can get an X-mas one this year >_> *ponders*
