Ok, I've tried this thing tons. I think we're gonna have to get groups helping out because I get slaughtered every time. Someone post if you're setting times, groups, etc.
I've decided to skip for now after spending 6 hours on it, with every conceivable combination of hero / hench I could think of....it's just overwhealming. The only way I see to do this one is a group of 8 people with CC's to get rid of dp when gets too high distributed at the res shrine.

Where do I get this quest?

I've just done it yesterday with henchmen and heroes. It isn't that hard? I mean yeah, the battle is quite long with many mobs, but they come in a small group or two groups at a time.
Besides, the quest is in explorable area, you can die for so many times and still could continue on without any need to restart it.
The quest is in Turai's Procession, in that centaur(sp) glade. You will have ot complete several quests from the npc first before he gives out this master quest though.

it was easy i did masters first time ahd 3 heros on one side a war a monk and a MM, send the 3 groups 1 to each then attack the right side boss first and work left the 3 heros can hold there own as the mm takes care of that

That's the one with 24 Margonites level 24 coming as one big group against you and 11 centaurs that do jack damage isn't it? Didn't manage it either, those 4 clerics they have prevent me from spiking down any of them and the centaurs don't call any single target either, as such I just fall down time after time.
I sure wish they'd put a timer to send those groups of Margonites.
And no the Master of Whispers isn't required for that quest.
Edit : Ok I managed it a few seconds ago, here is how I proceeded, at the very beginning I took the right side where the smaller group of Margonites was coming and attacked it while staying far enough from the left side, curiously this caused the left side to come with only one small group with the two others staying behind, I killed the group on the right side and kept advancing to kill the groups resawning in its stead, I then rounded the bend where the whisper informant was standing and proceeded to do the same with the group there and its respawns. I finished by the group who had in the meanwhile killed the centaurs and did the same without the two other groups to bring support it went quite smoothly.
The conclusion is that this is once again like the defense of the harbor a quest where you have to intercept the ennemies before they can focus fire and where you shouldn't be concerned with the storyline objective that states you have to stand with the centaurs because if you do that ou will be overwhelmed by the numbers.

Huh. I got groups of like 50 Margonites at the same time. ;p
