it'll be a stand alone game, juz with a history you can actually play, it'll be the same map but with more outposts different mission places maybe even some added places and you would be able to travel to the new or old map. you don't HAVE to have prophecies, but it will encourage players who didn't have prophecies but still buy the new one to also buy prophecies (it would actually be a smart move because nowadays people with factions or nightfall dun bother to buy the previous game)

I cant remember who said this but as far as a new chapter I would like to see a new contenient maybe with a indian-like influence..and some how tie to to elona? idk but one idea that I really want to see it more use of the mini pet... as of right nowall they do is follow you. I would like to have the ability to battle my mini petsagainst others or some other purpose.. I think they could be so much more

One question to put it out to see what other think...

How would you feel about the possiblity of a paid (probably at a price cheaper than the regular) none or half stand-alone expansion pack?

The Order of Chaos Reborn [ToC]

I personally would prefer a whole-hog game if I'm going to pay for it. Episodic content isn't my preference in the least, because it ends up costing more than one big game would.

Now that doesn't mean I'm against minor additions. The Domain of Anguish releasing shortly, and Sorrow's Furnace for that matter, are smaller additions, but still add an experience to the game for no extra charge. I love big patches that make you feel like the game developers really appreciate you as a player.

In the new campaign, i'd like to see Ascension mean more. In Prophecies, ascension felt like an accomplishment... you'd fought your way through hard missions, and killed yourself (so to speak), and then the gods granted you ascension. Factions, you just killed a bunch of stars in one mission and it took you like 30-40 minutes.... and Nightfall didn't really have a concrete ascension mission.

Well ill say a few things sorry in advance if any1 else posted similar suggestions.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1/
I dont think any thing like the rebuilding of ascalon would really fit in tbh, perhaps if anet realease "Guild Wars 2: return to ascalon" or "Guild Wars 2: the Faction wars" or somthing of the sort which would be better posed as a sequel rather than an expansion, but having it as an add on seems out of place imo and as mentioned in the op would ruin the story.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2/
How about going to a continent where the people worship/follow different god(s) rather than dwayna, lyssa ect. If you look at our planet as a whole, there are/were many religions following many different gods. i.e: Norse, Egyptian, Greek, ect ect. that could bring in a few new aspects.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3/
I totally agree with expanding current maps, there is so much unused space in Tyria its painful. only draw back to this is that the cartographer title would be made invalid as thered be another 20%+ more map to explore making it harder for those yet to earn it, or easier if the total needed were to be kept the same. ( you only have to explore the equivilent of map needed now so you dont have to grind the edges all the time)

But adding new areas accessable through quests/NPC's gained by purchasing not expansions but more of a "booster pack" like the two available for Battlefield 2 ( european forces and armoured assault ) which arent full games but give access to like new maps/weapons ect.
So for example: you purchase say: "GW: Ascalonian Secrets" for say £5 from the GW official ingame store. This unlocks a few mystical NPC's in explorable areas that give you access to areas around ascalon previously unacessable with new/old enemies like the hydras, gargoyles ect. but new quests. outposts ect. But they transport only 1 person at a time to the outposts (like some NPC's already ingame) to avoid people who dont own the boosters to piggyback along.

heres a few images of the kind of thing i mean: ( excuse the place names lol )

I could make these all night lol but for space sake i wont .

I think this would be a great addition and worth a few quid. (bucks if youre american )

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4/
Some more Original Skills. I seem to remember some one in an old topic suggesting "passive skills" that have an effect just by having it in your skill bar like say:

Passive Regeneration:
while this skill is in your skill bar you suffer -1 energy regen but gain +2 health regen."
~~[Or]~~
Passive Speed:
while this skill is equiped, you suffer -1 energy degen, attack 10% faster and gain 1 energy if you hit, but lose one if your attack is blocked, evaded or misses."
~~[OR]~~
Passive Power
While this skill is equipped you gain +3 energy regen but your skills cost double the energy.

"Im not taking credit for this idea as some1 else posted it in an older topic, im just exploring it."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5/
An extra Guild Cape option. This is only tiny and really isnt that much of a big deal, but i like to play around with capes, im not the leader of my guild but i still like to have a play if im bored. But what ive noticed is that when you change the BG color, the outer edge of the cape changes with it, so how about adding a fourth customising option: Cape trim color?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6/
I saw a post about a PvE chapter free area where people who dont own all 3 chapters can meet up with people who own the ones they dont have. This is a great idea. The one thing people seem to address most about this is that traders will gradually flock to this area to well.....trade. Now while id love to be able to travel to LA or Droks without the constant spam of "WTS" and "WTB" I think that the people will eventually flock back to towns to sell their wares. If you think about it now, the chat box at droks moves up very very quickly, imagine what it would be like at a place like this? you wouldnt be able to see what people are saying it would be rocketing up so fast.
But overall i really like this idea and i back it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7/
More Fun. I know it may sound silly to some but Why not add areas where people can just chill and play minigames like the dragon arena and the snowball fights. You could ( like in the poster of the subject of 6/ ) add an outpost which is full of NPC's That take you to different "FUN" areas.
examples:
1: Snowball Fight NPC
Takes you to a new arena outpost where you can join a random team for a snowball fight.
2: Dragon Arena NPC
Takes you to the dragon arena like during the special events.
3: Shing jea Celebration NPC
takes you to a outpost on one of the small islands around shing jea where you can part take in the chance and worm games.
4: Haloween NPC
Takes you to an underworld outpost where you can play the mad kings games for tokens exchangeable like monastary tokens ( maybe a bad idea but ill keep it here anyhow ) or exchange 250 tokens for a hat maybe.( this could be implemented for tengu masks too. ( again prob a bad idea )

and any others people can think of.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8/
Emotes. only a small one Add some more original emotes rather than reusing old ones for new proffesions.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SMALL ONE/
Stop nerfing stuff all the time lol

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9/
3 new areas like UW and FoW. This too has been suggested many many many many many times but for old times sake.
We know balthazar and Grenth have areas but what about the others?

Melandru:
A vast natural looking area with trees, plants, lakes ect.??
~~[OR]~~
An underground Temple similar to apearance to the kurzick areas in factions.

Dwayna:
A big light area glowing area with angelic looking enemies.??
~~[OR]~~
A Large royal Castle type area??

Lyssa:
a Strange warped kinda area the metamorphs as you travel through it?
~~[OR]~~
an area like in those optical illusions where there are stair cases going in different directions and where the place rotates

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10/
NEW PROFFESION IDEAS:

The shapeshifter
A very popular suggestion and i think would be a nice addition although overpowering would probably be very likely

Brawler:
A melee attacker who uses gauntlets? knuckle-Dusters? claws?
drawbacks i could see from this would be:
Gauntlets: covering arms/gloves armor.
replacing the warrior ect.....

Blue Mage (sorry to rip the idea from FF )
A spell caster whos only skills from a skill trainer are unlocked ones and signets of capture. gains skills through quests and capping skills used by enemies: IE: turtle shell, Giant Stomp ect.
again overpowering poss an issue.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11/
Weapon ideas:
1: Flail - would prob be hard to get the physics right.
2: Gauntlets
3: Claws
4: Pole - like the one goku has as a child in DBZ [ not an extendable one tho (>_<) ]
5: Pike/Halberd
6: Crossbow - maybe too similar to a bow and not worth the addition
7: Broad Sword - two handed sword
8: Mace - not the spray
9: rings? - that make your hands glow and let you throw a projectile like that of a staff

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I could probably go on but im tired and my eyes hurt lol, i may add as time goes on
feel free to comment

Expansion on Kryta: Giant's Hills

The new area is set to the North of Watchtower and Divinty Coasts on the other side of the Giant's Basin.

Brief History
The Giants are a diminishing race due to the constant harrasment of the White Mantle. The Giant's reside in two towns to the north of Giant's Basin.

Timeset
After the Titan Quests

Access Points
1. Beetletun (Area Unlocked via Quest) -> Watchtower Coast (Quest) -> Dunais (Giant's Town). To use this access point you must pay a local fishermaman 1 platnium or use route 2.

2. Route 2 is the "hard way in". As you'd come to expect there will be difficulties here, The Second Giant's town lies at the end of this thin stretch of land and can only be accessed if you assist a Troll Warrior, level 24, who can fight, in getting back to town after being seperated from his warband, who were supposedly slaughtered (Quest: A Giant Plight). Along the way you WILL encounter;
- lvl 28 Justicar Calacoss (warrior [Elite: Crusader Aura])
- lvl 24 White Mantle Crusader (warrior)
- lvl 24 White Mantle Longbow (ranger)
- lvl 24 White Mantle Inquistor (mesmer)
- lvl 24 White Mantle Prodigy (elementist)
- lvl 20 Whitle Mantle Zealot
- lvl 20 White Mantle Abbot
- lvl 22 Maddend Troll
- lvl 28 Rotting Titan (1 Only, and off your track.)

Your Allies;
- lvl 24 Giant Warrior (defending the Giant's town)
- lvl 24 Hammer Bow (defending the town)
- lvl 24 Lost Giant (Warrior, obtained by killing the Rotting Titan)
- lvl 24 Lost Giant (Ranger, obtained by killing the Rotting Titan)

This will prove difficult as 4 waves of Crusaders will assult you upon arrival at the town, so long as the Giant is still alive, if not you will be attacked upon arrival.
After all are dead you are welcome to the town forever.

Outposts
Nu'Aull (access via Fisherman)
Ornu Gate (access via A Giant Plight quest)

Expolrable Areas
Giant's Flight (Beetletun to Ornu Gate)
Maugh Pines (Ornu Gate to Nu'Aull)

Map

Related Quests

Defending the Gate (Elder Giant - Ornu Gate)
Rot of Madness (Elder Giant - Ornu Gate)
Enough Oppresion! (Giant Warlord - Nu'Aull)
Earthen Blood (Druidic Giant - Maugh Pines)

Services
Merchants (both Outposts)
Armourer (Nu'Aull - Armour Appearance: HoD, Armour Stats: Droknar's Forge)
Weaponsmith (Nu'Aull - All max damage, mainly Hammers, Axes, Longbows, some staves)
Rune Trader (Nu'Aull)
Material Trader (Nu'Aull [common only])

Area Specific Weapons/Items
Item-Mad Troll Claw
Item-Crusader Insignia (NOT Nightfall Insignia)
Item-Crusader Emblem
Item-Crusader's Armour (Salvage Armour)
Weapon-Giant Reaver (Green - Drops from Justicar Calacoss)
Weapon-Crusader's Axe (axe)
Weapon-Crusader's Longbow (longbow)
Weapon-Crusader's Voice (illusion wand)
Weapon-Crusader's Will (energy storage wand)

This area contains links to Nightfall with the Quest Earthen Blood, in which you will encounter several "Weakened Harbinger"s (lvl 18) and a Boss names Dasius the Tormentor, a Harbinger who doesnt need to be near Abaddon to remain powerful (lvl 30).

Hope you guys like it
Its my 2 cents on an expansion.. well mabye 3 cents seeing how long it is O_o
Not as much as Malignant-Heretics $4 though.

~~possible tiny spoiler~~??

^^ i really like how that somehow links to Elona. Perhaps people finding these subtle hints of other chapters in games may make people want to but them all?

Like in one "booster area" you come across a few luxons or kurzicks camping out for some reason. perhaps as a secret base away from cantha prior to the fight with Shiro
could be interesting

your area was very well thought out nj

Nice idea.

What i would like to see as a SF style expansion would be a post titan quests area (that can only be gained after doing all the titan missions). Once you have done them all you talk to Glint and she transports you to the remains of Orr to the city of the gods (ive forgotten its name) which was believed to be destroyed. However its become a Mursaat City which must be purged.

Once youve completed the mission you can enter the city as normal. There could be a couple of adjactent maps and a couple of small towns to explore and quest in (kind of a cross between a seared ascalon and the island hopping Guild hall map. Then perhaps you could have an extra Tryia set of Armour the Orrian Armour set, which could be a super expensive armour like foW. The Quests could be based around finding orrian Survivors, defeating new creatures that are unseen before etc. And generally rebuilding a little of the once proud nation free of the Vizuah/Lich. (The Sceptor of Orr could reappear here also and would be given to the new leader of the Orrian people (an npc in the Orr City).

well,
i want to start off buy saying great ideas all.a few thoughts from me would be:

1.expantions(free) for exsisting campaigns, like sorrowers furnace, that use the exisisting "blank areas"on the map.not to take away from the devs working on new campaigns but adding things to old campaigns to keep people there/comming back.a fear of mine is that 5 years from now(i hope we are all still playing GW)that there will be too many campaigns and not enough real people in the mission areas, as there are some new players all the time but there are still only x people playing in a given campaign and the older ones are getting less and less populated all the time.can you hear the echo of lfg from your own voice?*shudders*

2.giving us what was promised long ago,ie.=an armor upgrade for the fow armor. i still have old non-obsidian titled fow armor mixed with the newer obsidian titled fow armor on 1 char it is just a lil annoying(they can "fix" all the rock molders but not the "best"armor in the game?) +
An auction house/island for buyers and sellers to pedal there stuff that is a NON-campaign specific area.THIS IS NOT MENT AS A FLAME.

3. an idea that i will repost that was someone else's idea is: a cross campaign quest, one that spans all 3 or more campaigns that is hard and long, geared for the experienced players. a customized green weapon for the completion of the quest with your heros name on it.pick the stats, the skin, the color, type in what you want its name to be , hit the create button and poof you have a CUSTOMIZED green weapon that will help devolp yer charecter and a limit to 1 per charecter ever.a odd thing to me is the thought of,i beat this guy now i use his weapon?a lil silly...lol

4.I'm not looking for an answer but what is the deal with the cities that are un used? like the floating castles north of lions arch,or the city in the valley on "noob island" in factions(northern edge) they look cool but are unused.

5.instead of rebuilding old ascalon (this seems like a popular idea here) why not make new ascalon in a unused area of the map?as not to mess with the "time line thing".

6.a unnamed, soon to be an unpopular idea(s):how about a magic dead zone,or a rune dead zone a place that nulls some of your power.but not a warrior based area.more like an area that needs to be passed through.....or even frendly fire.ie. it is unlikly that if i cast meteor shower on a monster, that a warrior is attacking, that the warrior is "unaffected" or the meteor blasts just "happen" to miss him/her.

7.multi-leveled dungeons, speaking for myself as a old table top D&D player, who didn't like a uber long dungeon crawl?perhaps a city or two half way to "save" at.like tombs but 5 times or more longer.

8.lighted items,ie. torches that will light an area that must be held(like an item) hey some areas are hard to see in and it would be a great mapping mechanic for uw/fow/undercity areas that are "unlit" not to mention how cool it would look on hud/gui to be "in or out" of the lights.this could also incure penalties/bonuses.(ties in #7 well)

9.in a new expantion i would like to see a flag bearer class.a charecter that holds the guild/alliance banner in battles.(like the rit ashes but more like a weapon, ie.it can be dropped or it falls when slain but doesnt disapear and can only be picked up by a flag bearer) giving bonuses to members.(can you say guild pride?i can)

10.epic battles, not necesserally a world boss like in wow,but battles that are worth fighting that create memerable experiences.

11.a massive battle arena/challange/war like senerio where there are 50-100 players or more on a side, not on a team, a side.(this sounds more pvp but i dont mean it to be)like a real epic battle/war zone (this would also tie in #9 and #10 well.)

12.a slot to "quick deploy" items.an item be it a mini pet or a candycane or a torch that is moveable and holds 1 item/stack on the gui.

13.guild barracks/a home.where does my charecters sleep?this area should be inside your guild hall but linked to your account not your guild.this could be a customizable per account with upgrades like:extra storage (but only accessable from there say 100 different items/stacks).astetics.messages to send/recive from off line players(with a limit of say 1 weeks worth and only text, like a primitive e-mail) and it would be a private area like outside of towns/outposts available only to you. after thought for those who wish to have this and not be in a guild you can have a "special" island on map in place of guild hall that takes you straight into barracks.

14. a link to our music players in the gui so we can easily "jam" our own toons, that can be hidden.no offence but i dont always listen to the "guild wars toons" and i am sure that the majority will agree.

i am sorry for poor grammer/spelling or repeating ideas.

im going to go play now......

I agree that..as someone put it before.. the more expansions are released, the less people play the old ones.

I think thex should publish some repolished prophecies or something and make it avaiable (by updates) for everyone that already owns prophecies...

NCsoft really should come up with a method to market their old expansions as well.

By the way read Zamial's ideas, they're great !

Heightened state of mind.

P/W

If they make chapters which involve sea exploration and introduce cross chapter content which introduces several new missions and quests at locations in previous chapters, as well as quest in previous chapters which become available with chapter combinations than there will be more people at least returning to previous chapters anyway.

Even if they add all sorts of new content to previous chapters though, it will not remedy the lack of people interested in repeat missions and quests because they are already done. The only way to increase replay of previous chapters is to add repeat rewards which will draw players to replay previous missions. No matter how much you add to previous chapters, you will not compel players to repeat missions, they will just be playing new content in previous chapters, which is only a stones throw from playing new content in new chapters.

It is a serious matter of support and population for previous chapters, especially in the absense of a full party of Heros, or lack of them altogether.

As previously said, some brialliant ideas!
I also found some flaws.

1. Yes, i completely agree.
3. Weapon may become overpowered with deadly combos, also, to obtain the weapon the quest must be extremely difficult, and then, after all that... only one or two people have this sick weapon which can devestate almost anything, i see problems. But the idea rocks!
4. Brilliant areas for expansion.
5. Depends, do any of the towns have links to the *future*, vice versa? If not, yet another piece of ingenius.
9.Mabye just add an aura to Guild Flags, as in GvG. A Flagbearer class would be odd, it's basically a Paragon with a flag.
10. Yep, mad idea, basically Urgoz/Deep/DoA.
11. Can you say "Lag"? lol!
13. .... Pure Genius , we'd need a postman NPC though, so as to deliver letter to Guild Halls you can't access.

Unification of chapters for the purpose of access to gods areas, like underworld and fissure. When your continent has the favor, kneel on any gods statue brings you to a common area to any campaign where you can access the ascension zones. It would like an "Ascension Sanctuary". So it would be easier to make parties regardless of which chapter. Aditionally could be expanded to specific gods halls inside the sanctuary.

All of this can be compatible with my previous idea about Temples of the gods(Pve/Pvp areas).

There could be tittles for deeds made for each god, granting you access to specific rewards, quests, areas or skills...

For example each rank on .. let's say "Dwayna's chosen title" gives you an 1% of fast casting or fast recharge on Healing, protection and air skills...

Balthazar chosen could give % of have a damage reduction or % of aditional armor penetration...

Only when title is displayed of course.

Devoted signets is an idea that has been revolving lately in my mind.

This signets cant be used are passive like it has been posted previously.
But when equiped act like runes only for secondary class.

This signets make you sacrifice part of your skill slots to represent an special affinity for your secondary class. Lvl of power(+1.+2 or +3) of this signets and his cost in life like runes must be tested. Or perhaps be only of +1 and have to equip multiple copies.

Anyway advantage of higher secondaries is balanced with lesser build options.

The Edge of the World

[L] [GET]

The top four things I would like to see are as follows:

1) Access to the harbour and cave entrance at Zuuyun Point, the area directly North of Seitung Harbor. I think it would be wicked awesome to be able to go into the mountain and explore a vast underground Elite area that ran 2-3 levels deep under the entirety of Shing Jea island. You could even have a boss be a former teacher who was kicked from the monastery for nefarious reasons and has been secretly sabotaging the monastery.

2) Access to the Wizard's Tower off Kessex Peak. This one is insanely obvious as it's viewable from two different locations, and made famous in the Villainy of Galrath quest.

I reckon there are millions of cool things that could come of this, but I think it would be great to have say 25 or so different levels that are obviously bigger than the castle to give a truly magical feel to it, where you have to start from the bottom and fight your way to the top, either to find that the wizard never died, he became a lich, or my personal favorite, little Gwen took over and unlocked the secrets of the tower after being driven mad by being horribly scarred by the searing. Perhaps having the broken flute or the tapestry shred as a way of getting a special reward from her as she then remebers you being nice to her, instead of having to defeat her, or simply not being able to and thus you get your ass handed to you by her and booted from the tower...

3) Access to the fortresses north of Watchtower Coast. I tried so hard to get into them when I first came to this area as it stops so close from letting you in and only a small bit of water bars the path.

4) A return of Verata as a major character in the game. The Necro boss at Kessex Peak being explained as an undead clone that he summoned as part of his continuing experiments in Necromancy.

The first time I realized who Verata was, I was playing a Necro MM, and I thought it was so cool that the guy who taught me my first summoning spell had become a villain. I want more!

If I could edit guildwars storylines I'd make a new continent with mountains and large forests, with the capital up on the largest mountain. The continent should be inhabited by trolls, wizards and other mythical figures. They should attack the shiverpeaks and charr territory from the north. Satanism is their religion, and they will try everything to covert people to it. They have secret connections with the Am Fah terrorists and with the stone summit. Because of their raids, the Charr fled from their lands to Ascalon. But they want their country back, and they ask you to help them. If you do, they will reward you and the city of Ascalon. You have to kill the bad guys ( don't have a name for them yet) by attacking their cities in large groups of 20+ men. At the end you should blow up the large gates which hold back the water from a large lake. Because of the water that flows down, the rivers and tar pits in Ascalon will be flooded and the hills of Ascalon will turn green once again.

Im new here so first of all Hello to everybody.
Ashford Abbey at the beggining of Prophecies has the underground labirint catacombs full of undead so my idea is that they should open the catacombs in Sardelac Sanitarium. It could be a lvl 20 area full of undead or something like that. I always found it fun to kill something that was already killed before

I think they could also connect Tyria and Elona with a portal in the Crystal Dessert and let people who find it get into Elona(they couldn't get far without wurms anyway but it whould be a good thig for us who can ride wurms)

I would like to see a Diary Feature implemented. Also, I would like some elite skills to be taught by trainers who ask you to do something extra then give out a skill point and 1plat. If possible once you unlock an elite make a special skill guru of each profession teach it to anyother characters you might have. I just hate traveling into Cantha to get my elite especially since I cant run through the continent.
I like really the idea of improving your current characters to greater heights. In fact, if you reach a certain level of proficiency or get a certain title you should be able to teach any of your Guild Members that particular skill without it costing any gold but costs the player being taught 1 skill point.
I know some of these ideas might seem crazy and impractical but I think they can be doable.
As far as plotlines go I really like going into the future on any continent and see how my current actions have shaped things out.
Also, this might be completely impossible to do but here it is anyways--->How about what I do know affects the complete continent on which I am for my particular character. I mean its silly for certain things to remain the same when you map back into a particular area after you have passed through. Its just plain silly.
As far Battle Arenas and stuff goes I think they are PvP suggestions and perhaps someone should take the initiative and creat a forum for that.
Well thats my 4bits.

Some of the suggestions are really awesome!!(hopefully Anet listens and not ignore their customers like they usually do!!)

I think that characters should be able to craft armor if they reach a certain skill with it. Why not make your own armor. Why buy it. The crafter cant be better than me. And why not
be able to teach each other skills. That whould be AWSOME!!!

Heh i've been driven in to an urge to create more expansions, so here's my second. It has links to Prophecies, SPOILERS AHEAD.

Expansion near Barbarous Shore: Corsair Ruins & Harpy Highlands.

Brief History:
This Area, formally known as the Dunajar Inlet, is the remains of once pristine Corsair Haven, Corsairs flocked from every corner of Tyria to fence their good here. But, none know of how the kingdom fell apart, that is except the Corsairs themselves.

Your Involvement:
To Access this area you must have defeated Nightfall and have Magrid or MoW in your team.
Both quests are recieved if you charcter arrives in Camp Honaju after defeating Abaddon. The appropriate NPC (Magrid or MoW) will be there with the Quest Avaliable icon.
If you have Magrid;
You will recieve a quest entitled: Not even a Corsair would Dare!
In this quest you must, with the assistance of Magrid, find a Corsair by the name of Daring Theon, he is one of very few Corsairs brave enough to enter the fallen Kingdom. He thus leads you in to the Mandragor Ravines, where his untimely death leaves you stranded. Make your way under Magrid's rough knowledge to the Ruins of Dunajar Camp.
If you have MoW;
You will recieve a quest entitled: Hunting the Horror
In this quest, you, your team, and MoW must head out and find the "Seeker of Demons." He will lead you in to the Mandragor Ravines to find a Necromancer Mandragor, Unnus the Nightfallen. He appears to be a Stoneflesh Mandragor, but is more like an Imp.
Upon his death you will be attacked by a horde of Mandragor and a Harbinger of Corruption, this is insanely difficult, you must flee or die. You find yourself taking shlter in the Ruins of Dunajar Camp.

1. As heroes saving the world, we have very little time to learn the fine art of craftsmanship and armoury.
2. Because then people would reject the Skill Trainer system and simply trade skills, Skill Hunter titles would become redundant.

I think the rebuilding ascalon should be a map... separate from others you can take your current characters there with a quest.. it'll start of just looking like what ascalon looks like now except with different NPCs in different places,, hundreds of quests and protect ascalon from hordes of charr while the NPCs repair it, maybe do all the quests without letting all the charr kill the rebuilding NPCs...

quests could be like fetching an item from someone that has it and killing a certain charr that has what you need and has taken from the site. All charr will be level 24 except the bosses.

Just my idea anyway.

I have but one thing to say evolution of the exisiting lands is preferable over an ever extending number of lands just think how hard it is going to be to get a group together if you have 10,12,14 ..... different lands that people have to choose between already going back to Tyria at times is a sad thing, streets empty of people dust blowing in the background. if new expansions could be integrated into exsisting locals thus cutting down on sprawl.... I dont know just rambeling.

i have been kicking around this idea for quite some time.but this is an idea, not a concrete suggestion....

i would like to see a charecter specialization.this could involve quests and be linked to a title.you would 1st need to be ascended and level 20 with all of your attribute points earned(including the bonus 30).while your region has favor of the gods, you would need to talk to an avatar of the gods at a shrine that is related to your primary class, then accept 1 of the 4 quests offered.these quests are directly related to your primary class skills and can be abandoned at any point BEFORE completion.after accepting the quest a title apears in your titles menu, that will track your progress.when the quest is completed you would need to talk to that avatar to recive the reward which should be:a title that when worn will boost 1 of your primary class attributes by 1.(like a rune, that stacks) and will also give a MINOR effect to those skills.YOU CAN ONLY DO 1 QUEST PER CHARECTER,ONCE IT IS DONE ALL REMAINING QUESTS WILL BE UNAVAILABLE,FROM THAT AVATAR.
The end result is that your charecter is slightly better/skilled in a specific area.

the reason that i am thinking of linking it to a title is because titles take a long time to earn,as should this.

examples of my ideas for the quest/title benifits as follows:

NECROMANCER:
* Blood magic +1,when ever you sac or steal life you gain 5 energy
(title will read "Lich")
* Death magic +1,minnions no longer suffer from degeneration
(title will read "Reanimator")
* Curses magic +1,all hexs cast by you last 20% longer
(title will read "Voice of corruption")
* Soul reaping +1,when ever your soul reaping is triggered you gain that in life
(title will read "Harvester of souls")

Monk
* Divine favor +1,monk spells cost 5 less energy to cast
(title will read "Preist")
* Healing prayers +1,whenever you heal, you are healed for that much
(title will read "Faith healer"
* Protection prayers +1,while maintaing an enchantment you gain +1 energy regeneration
(title will read "Shepard")
* Smiting prayers +1,your attacks and spells have 20% armor penetration
(title will read "Inquisitor")

*these are examples*

for the sake of clarification i will use a necromancer.you can only earn 1 title per char.and lets take the "animator" title you may need to animate 1000000 minnions to earn it.these titles will only start the count after the quest is started and not be retroactive.and should take a long time to earn....

before this is dismissed as "too powerful" i want to say that the boosts are suggestions perhaps no minnion degen is to powerful, so then say up my max minnion cap to 15 from 10.i am not a dev and these need to be tested before the implementation.

i guess i want to be better at a specific roll than the "normal person",specialized in what i do.not to mention this is a great reason to buy extra charecter slots as you can take every class out there and x4 to that number to have 1 char that is specialized in every area....

This isn't exactly an Expansion/Evolution idea, but I wasn't sure where else to put it. In the spirit of the recent Party Search and Reconnection idea, adding a Travel dialog box would speed things up for people who have multiple campaigns. Essentially it would have three drop-downs: Continent, Region, and Location (outpost, town, or mission) and allow you to map travel to a different continent without having to go to the "port cities" of Lion's Arch, Kamadan, and Kaineng Center first. It would streamline things significantly for people who like going to different continents and the like quickly.

I have always been really intrigued with going north of Acalon, seeing those tar pits and wondering where my first enemies (those blasted Charr) came from. I would love to see changes and new excitement in Ascalon, and more stuff added to that area of the map. Perhaps a rebuilding theme, exploration, or chasing the remnants of the Charr fiends? Or some sort of connection between Tyria and Elona (NF), spurring exploration south of Ranik.

/signed for evolution!

Expanding and evolving a game is a huge project.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with this concept for one big reason :

That's just it - its too big. Too big to be an update, and too big to be an expansion. This is a whole nother game we're talking about. GW2 has already been listed as planning to have dynamic environments that respond, react, and change over time depending on what's going on. So wouldn't that, in the very least, answer and suppliment this concept? If so, all I can say... is wait. Wait for GW2 to come out.
