I've spent more money than I've made so far, only because I picked up what runes and insignias I could for my heroes. I'm outfitting the heroes for my ritualist as best I can, and hopefully once the market settles they will be cheaper when I run my other characters through.
I think my paragon will be self-sustaining once I level him up. By the time I bring him over to the mainland, I should have enough stuff saved up for his heroes.
NF draining your money reserves?

after spending some money for crafting weapons for my main character(Zenmai, Jin and Tahlkora) the others use whatever i found, Koss is using a white max damage req 9 hammer found while squashing bugs outside yohlon, the other heroes are mostly using the equipment they started with, and beyond the 30k i spent purchasing a green from a guildie, im starting to recover the money i spent with this first character.
thank god for Chest running in Factions -- made some uber cash -- was gonna get FOW but decided not too... which means i'm uber rich in NF.
All in all, i keep all the NF money on one character and have been doing pretty well -- minus buying armor for my monk. Hit about 15k from just playing NF... had more... but that one mission took 4k from me and i still don't get why...
anyone else have the 4k taken away during that 'get a gift for the princes mission/quest?' or was i just lucky?

I started out NF with 1000k in storage and about 20-50k on each of my 4 characters. My goal is to not dip into storage for any gold regardless of the character. I'm taking my Rit through NF first. When she's done I'll scavenge all her heroes' weapons/runes and put them on the next character I bring through.
I've basically spent money on skill unlocks and a 1 superior rune for each of my favorite heroes. (Jin, Margrid, Koss). The rest of the heroes get whatever drops.
Overall I'm even on my Rit. I started with about 20k on her and currently have about 20k at the 2/3 finished point.
I think I'm fortunate in terms of NF armor... I hate almost all of it. When I bring my Dervish through... I may pop for the Vabbian armor... or I may not. Depends on what's farmable in NF, Factions, Tyria...

I had ~500k in storage when I started. Bought 15k Primeval and most of 15k Sunspear, + 10k Bone Palace armor. That put me at about 150k. Then I got an Elemental Sword drop that got sold at an auction for 250k. So I'm back at around the 360k mark.
I've been spending a crapload of money on Capture Signets. Going for the Skill Hunter title. -_- 1k a pop *starts crying*

dangit, i really need to start reading and stop just clicking buttons in gw.
Bought 15k elite sunspear armor = ~70k
Sold Mini Varesh 100k
Sold 30 sapphires, 4 rubies I bought 6 months ago = 100k+ net profit
Only planning on buying sets of Ancient armor for my Monk and Mesmer, and possibly a Primeval helm for my Warrior. I really like Assassin Vabbi armor, but the price tag is scaring me away.
I've been equipping my Heroes with scraps that I mix and match together.
Overall, not too bad. Surprisingly manageable considering we now have so many more equipment slots I now have to fill.

I actually made A LOT of money by stockpiling materials. I'm so glad I had around 100 linen and steel stocked up. Also, by just playing through the island over the past week with a new character, I've already gathered about 10k on him. There are a lot of quests with gold rewards and just playing through the game will get you far. Remember though, not all your character and their heros "need" that 20/20 +29/+30 15^50 sword. No matter how much you talk yourself into it, Koss does just fine with medicore blues/purples.

To be honest I am richer now that before I had stared the game. I mustly play elemental I had already had some greens that I don't use or could not sell. So I fit them on my heros any purples or golds I also fit them on heros.
I am going to take my time and work on my heros. I think bugteting is the key. besides I have 3 armors just my nuker along so I am majorly lacking in storage. So I am can't be buying everything I see.

It really doesn't take that long (or that much gold, for that matter) to kit out your heroes to a reasonable degree of competency.
Whatever quirks the hero AI has, will still be there when you give them a green weapon.
I gave my Talkhora a scar eater. She still overheals like a retard, forcing me to micro her during intense fights.

Heros need equipment? :O
I just finished the game (using Koss Dunkaroo and Tahlkora as heros)... theyre all rune-less and koss still has his starter sword :l
I dropped about 200k on skills and a set of Ancient armor... meh, not as bad as I was expecting. I'll either be buying PvP edition or spending the 300k to finish unlocking everything... not sure yet.
