Best Guild Wars?

Well, prophecies definitely has nostalgia going for it...
Plus, it's got a lot more replay value - you can skip parts going when you go through it a second (third, fourth, fifth) time.
But they do all have their good points. And they're all fun. Can I vote two more times?

I resisted voting for prophs because it was so completely different (better) to the other mmorpgs i was used to and went for nightfall which i've only had for a few days! NF has a better plot (although the tyrian plot is not as non-sensical as many think, the fact the charr worship the titans is just too subtle, etc), better voiceovers, more humour, WAY more involving missions and a better pace of play, great skills etc...it's fun! factions for me is a non-runner; bad design, boring map, mostly useless skills bar the tyrian skill doubles, truely turgid quests...it just fails on so many levels.

I concur.
Prophecies was great in terms of learning your way through the game. IMO, it's great to have a begginer island/place that ONLY begginners can get to. That way, even if you're new and have plenty of experienced friends, you still have to play it out and learn on your own.
Factions was pretty cool with the concept of the new mission objectives (Masters, expert's, etc) and challenge missions. One great thing was the AB and the elite missions.
Nightfall is a long game, it's awesome, but once you get through with one character, it's like "Ugh" to do it again with another. Can't power level and rush when you've already beaten it once and dont' wanna do it again like prophecies. =\
As with scenary all are great in their own terms. Factions was a bit gloomy though, but still amazing. Nightfall has some absolutely beautiful content, but I think it rivals that of prophecies.

Looking back, Prophecies is a pretty bad campaign. The missions were repetitive, boring and too simple.
I vote for Nightfall, heroes ftw.

I was doing The Dukes Daughter in Piken Square the other day on my new character, and a lvl 20 ranger was in my group, I could only do about half of the damage she could, but she died constantly. Against mobs of 3 lvl 8s.
Anyways I voted Prophesies for reasons that have already been said. If you didn't vote Prophesies then either A) You haven't played it, or B) You don't know what your saying.

Prophecies - I'm still one of those people that cling to "the good ole days".
NF - Is a great game but I seriously doubt I will replay it more then twice.
Factions - Not my cup of tea.

Prophecies by far it was the best selling chapter and had better organized player base.It may be slow and a little long but the same can be said for NightFall getting all those points is just boring and who cares. There were no titles in Prophecies and that was made it great as well only XP and Skill point is what most were after which it should be.Prophecies Hands Down.It has more replayablity.
Gli
Nightfall, head and shoulders above the other two.
Addone_Abaddon
prophecies because of "this is when the real story begins"
and I completed factions in 2 days, still trying to do prophecies. Been stuck on THK for weeks.

THK owns all..great mission

Wow, I'm surprised there are others who like Factions the most as I do. Not as much as the other chapters obviously, but hey, good enough for me.
Axe Addict
Prophesies by a long shot , i keep going back to it and always enjoy playing there

Prophecies....That's the only series I had played before leaving.
This, actually, is my first post in what...over a year.
Wow. Things have changed. A LOT.

Both Factions and Nightfall are better then Prophecies game play / graphics / features etc.. but somehow prophecies keeps reminding me on how I started being sucked into the guild wars world, both of them don't even come close to that feeling :P So Prophecies FTW

I voted for Factions because it has the best replayability and pace imo. The storyline and the cinematics might be flawed but in the end I enjoyed taking through all my chars.
On the other hand, Nightfall has the better plot/cutscenes by far but once you've done it once or twice, you really don't feel like crawling through the game again. Factions missions are perfect : short but intense and action-packed. Nightfall missions (except two or three) are the complete opposite : kinda boring and not really challenging.
And I do prefer the multiple sceneries from Factions, the Jade Sea area must be my favourite one in the GWverse. Nightfall's landscapes are really polished but do lack some originality imo.
Not to mention the Factions Alliance Battles which are great fun.
Prophecies is just Prophecies : the original chapter so it's hard to have an objective opinion about it when it's linked to so many memories.

NIGHTFALL
I love that game
Abbadon was actually a boss in the sense that it was hard to kill him.
Every other game you just sort of swarmed the final boss and it didn't fell like you were killing a almightly ruler of X

Prophecys- Just because I have so much good memories there like finding my first high end item-a req.8 15^50 fellblade.
ShadowStorm
They're all great games, but I'm going to have to say that Prophesies is my favorite. It kept me interested the longest. I actually enjoyed all the classes in Prophesies, I enjoyed finding new ways to solo difficult areas in that game, and unlike the other 2 chapters, it didn't feel diluted.
In Factions, I hate Ritualists, and in Nightfall, I hate Dervishes. Also, It now feels like there are too many skills for the core classes. And the new areas to explore in Factions and Nightfall, aren't exciting enough. They don't give me the same feelings I experienced when exploring new areas in Prophesies. They all feel like I've seen them before.
Just my opinions.

I voted for Factions. Besides the lower quality of the story, I thought that it improved everything else (skills, equipment, etc.). Nightfall is sort of meh in my opinion. Heros are nice, the two new classes, and the storyline is improved (still not as good as prophecies in my opinion). However the bugs and incompleteness (Elite mission and missing hero anyone?), not to mention the insignia system have me already waiting for the next chapter.
Zedd Kun
Propechies. Why? The has many themes, as jungle, snow ++.. We had to use real players instead of ugly heroes. Things were fun there.

Prophecies > Nightfall > Factions

Factions
I like just being able to go through the story line. All this extra grinding of sunspear crap is boring. And leveling heroes is pretty stupid too. Prophecies was good for nostalgia but thats about it.
Alliance battles and Fort Aspenwood are awesome. Nightfall doesnt really offer anything new like that. Heroes are good but having to equip them all and level them at the same time sucks.

prophecies was all learning for me ...then factions came out i kinda knew what i was doing and started having fun.however i can definately see nightfall overtaking factions on a daily basis.
Shadow_7
I have to say Nigthfall is for me.
gamecube187
Factions and Nightfall are about equal, and if it weren't for the heros, I would have voted for Factions. If only we could vote twice....
Jeremy Untouchable
Nightfall would have had my vote untill i hit gates of madness, So prophecies ftw
Hell Marauder
Factions is the best one for me, not just for what it is, but for all of its potentials and what it could've been. It has twice more end-game contents (AB/Aspenwood/Jade Quarry/Urgoz/Deep) than either Prophecy or Nightfall.
boxterduke
Nightfall is great but I donot think there is anything that beats Prophecies right now.
Total Rogue
the main reason i liked prophecies so much is because we had a long time to get into a groove, rather than having to start over again every 6 months.
by starting over again i mean going through a new campaign, capping skills, leveling characters.
I liked having the helpful people who had already done everything multiple times, who would just be randomly helpful - i've even stopped doing that because there's just so much new stuff!

Prophecies was long to get upto lvl 20 but the elation when you got to lvl 20 was fantastic. It made better players I think as they had to learn the game to get to a high lvl. ( not all btw lol) Even in Prophecies you had noob players who had got to lvl 20 on the back of others but 90% of lvl 20 Prophecies players new how to play in a team as well as the henchway.
Nightfall is fantastic as an addon and I love the hero's as it enable good players to do missions on there own when required, with out waiting for that Healer monk or Prot monk turning up lol.
All in all Prophecies as my vote, lots of memories and good friends.....

imortal
Prophecies but only because it overwhelmed me and I felt like there was so much to do and explore. Replayability here is unmatched by any other chapter. Nightfall definetly comes in a close second. And factions well...its beyond me how anyone prefered this over Prophecies or Nightfall, then again thats just my opinion.
Retribution
Prophecies because the game was young then and not burdened by all this new crap that came from Factions. Nightfall is a close second though, good for them because if it bombed like Factions I doubt we'd be waiting for a guildwars 4
erick5876
I chose Prophecies simply because of the scale. There was so much there than in the latest 2 releases. They are supposed to be "Chapters" not "expansions," and are to be stand-alone games. I can't help but think they're a little bit lacking compared to the big brother.
dreamhunk
I would say nightfall it has better rpg story, however it is still more less the same thing
