I started as a warrior/necro. I though it would be the easiest character to play whilst I got to know my way around the game. I am very fond of my warrior but I very rarely play warrior these days.

My first character was actually a monk. I've played support character in other MMOs and enjoyed them, so I figured I would try out a monk in GW.

18 months ago I brought a copy of GW and rolled up a ranger. He was my only chatracter for my 1st 10 months in this game and is still my GW pride and joy. He weathered the days when a ranger couldn't get a group and many nerfs. He is a veteran of over 13 million XP and KoaBD he will always be first to explore and do missions for me in every campaign. I almost rolled an ele, but ultimately made the best choice for me.

First character? Mesmer (domination)....got to post-searing, but shelved her as I couldn't get into groups, so I started a ranger. Deleted him and started a warrior, then a blood necro.
About 8 months ago, I returned to my mesmer, and am now enjoying playing her the most of all my characters.

Ranger, because I usually make my first character a ranger-type whenever I play a game. However, I quickly fell in love with mesmers, too, and took a mesmer quite far through Prophecies before switching back to a ranger.

warrior is first not a surpridse to me as i have heard from many that that was their first...the ele being 3rd was somewhat of a shock but then lessened as i thought about it more and how people always want one in their group even though the low armor is a problem.

Even tho Mesmers and Necromancers are sorta-mage, Elementalist skills seemed more interesting to me. :P

A warrior/ranger who is still my main character, doing everything first. Created her on the advice of my son, though he was disappointed that I didn't choose Monk as my secondary.
She has remained a w/r until recently when she has had to cap elites for heroes to use. Nothing like playing with a sulking warrior. I threatened her with replacement by her mesmer cousin which has reduced commentary to muttering under her breath.
