Petition for an Australian District

Please Read: This is a petition for an Australian District, not an Australian Server!!

Greetings all, in particular Australians. I come here today in the hopes to get the ball rolling for an Australian district to be added in the European servers. Like all Aussies I have been playing with a large community of people in Europe (mostly england), and while I still enjoy meeting people in this part of the world, I would like to play more with peeps in my time zone. Some of you may say "join an Australian guild then" and that is true, I could choose to leave my English based guild that I have been apart of for 1 year as of 5th December. However I don't want to limit my access to all the great people I have met and will continue to meet.

Basicly its a time zone thing, we share a server with people that would mostly be asleep while we are awake. Adding a district for us would be a tidy way to keep the aussie community playing and expanding the game in a possitive direction. As a lot of you will notice in the Euro servers they have districs for Italy, France, Germany, even Spain. Australia is a large country with a large player base for GW, so it's not like there isn't enough of us to make it worth while. Also the great thing about having a district rather then a whole new server would mean we can still play with our European friends as we choose, just a click on the change districts button, and its done.

Australia is a close community, we enjoy Guild Wars and the experiences it provides, and this district would be a neat way of strengthening this game community. If anyone for Anet is out there, please listen to us Australians. We are a part of this game just as much as any other country.

Maybe if we had our own districts it would stop the mass exodus of aussies to american servers.

Our euro server is pretty screwed all round anyway, you only see english being spoken 50% of the time in english districts. :/

@Jodie O - How do you know about the 1000 australians? Even if it was true it's not fair that we cannot have our own district!
You can always play on the district you like, so why are you tinking only about yourself!

In all seriousness I think that the effort could be used for something alot more useful... like upgrading storage (cough cough). Furthermore, stuff like this will just get everyone wanting a district. It serves no real purpose.

EDIT: Not to mention that making more districts will just spread the people out further, and the game already sucks enough on the people aspect.

You say that people would be sleeping while you "aussies" are playing right? Well if there's an Australian district thingy, everybody will still be asleep while you're playing. I don't think there'll be much of a difference if any at all will happen if an Australian district came out.

So are we just talking about an Australian server or how about some of these countries, I'm sure they would like a country based server too.
South Africa, New Zealand, Indonesia, Vietnam, England, Canada, Russia, Brazil, Thailand, Germany, France, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, India. etc etc

Why do you think it's FAIR that Australia gets a server before any of the above mentioned countries do. What makes us so special? I'm being deadly serious, anet might be reading this.

As for "tinking" about myself, its a petition. Everyone has the right to have a say, just because my view isn't shared by you, it doesn't mean that I can't say that I think a small population base of players aka Australians, is a bad basis for a new server and just because you say it's unfair.

thats like telling the hundreds of thousands of people in europe, sory no more district for you, try int districts but we never had one in the first place

Here's the thing, half those countries have there own districts. So if they have them, then why can't we?

It's not even much effort, hell when major events happen you can even see 40+ German disticts. Like I said, its not a new server, its a new district, get it right.
