Are you going to buy the next chapter?

I know I know (raising my hand) People love to complain about anything and everything, and some people you can never please. I just had to say it, not saying that I disagree with all the points, just human nature to complain.

I'll be buying the next chapter. Tyria was okay, factions was meh and loved nightfall. More heroes please.

I'm going to buy Chapter 4 and make it last. I will not be purchasing Chapter 5 because when it comes out I will be in my second month of my final year in high school, which I actually have to take seriously.

Noob players don't create builds
Mindless..lol
Overpowered..lol only to those that fail to understand them
Good players would say GG and move on bad players make whining threads going "omfg nerf this!!!!"

Notice a trend here? Have yet to see a PvP player say yes to purchasing next chapter... I bet the Anet devs are just baffled as to how come, or on second thought they probably don't give a rat's ass.
As an Anet dev once said, "I like w/r cause I can use apply poison on my blade!"

If i'm still playing when it's released, yes.
The only reason I would quit, is because of boredom...a new chapter would most likely get me back into the game. So, basically...i'll keep playing as long as they keep releasing new content.

It's a toss up right now. I'm a farmer, so everyone probably knows my complaints already. If they nerf farming anymore, I most likely will not buy the next chapter unless they have a shape shifter class available.
Bane of Worlds
As long as they do not drop in quality or quantity then I'll still purchase future chapters
unless Lord Grenth forces a purchase then I'll still buy it

I didn't buy Nightfall. Not for a lack of money or time to play, I have plenty of both. I didn't buy Nightfall because I bought factions for the wrong reasons. (OMG LOOK AT THE ARMORS) The Guild Wars chapters, to me, is like a book. It has an attractive cover and the story inside is entertaining the first, maybe the second time you read through it, and might even be one of your favourite books of all time, but ultimately, it belongs on the shelf with all of the other books you have read and grown to love. To me, it is just a book, on a shelf with a pretty cover and will stay there until the final server goes down for good. |
How can I not buy C4 when I'm having so much fun doing DoA atm? (writing while trappers trap Stygian)
Just found a CE for Prophecies on from a store 10,000 miles from where I live. Bought it of course. Can't wait 'til its delivered.

Yeah I'll probably keep buying future chapters until I get tired of GW. This is the longest I've played a game (been playing since Aug. 2005), usually I play a game for a month or two and just be done with it.
Phaern Majes
I'll buy the new chapter when Anet releases an Auction House...so probably not. Really depends on how the guild I am is holding up. I have no desire to join a new guild and if this one dies out then I'll have no reason to play. Probably just wait for D3 to come out...

OP, you sound a lot like me. Take some advice... I had to sit back and remind myself, "man, how much exactly do you PLAY this game?"
The answer is WAY too much. There are more important things in life. Without implying that you don't have balance in your own life, I would suggest cutting back on the time you play during the day for a few weeks. It really puts the "fun" back into perspective, as opposed to "life substitute." (It actually wasn't THAT bad for me, but I can't think of a better way to describe it ^^)
I remember the days when I saw a Playstation RPG that boasted 50 hours of gameplay and fell over backwards in disbelief. I miss those days...
ON THE POST TOPIC: I'll probably keep buying them until Hellgate London comes out. I mean, I like ANet so I'd love to support them, but after several years now of playing the SAME game I'm getting a little worn out lol

Well by looking the currently supply of games on the market (massive multiplayer) I find that GW fits my life-style only. I do not have the time to play 8 hours a day just to be competitive. Some days I cannot play, and some I just don't feel like playing. GW system and my gw guild do not have problem with that, unlike many other games I played.
I am sure there are a lot cool games out there but they require pretty too much time. EVE online is a darn good game! It's economic system is very flexible and realistic (for a game), the pvp is original - it rewards the thinking player and the strategists, the Corporation system is very deep too - big organizations require a good manager with all sub forms to work cool and a lot more stuff like that. But EVE online EATS VERY MUCH your whole day. Moving from one point to another with cargo ship takes around a hour! IF I was working EVE online - that would be the best job ever, but ... Sometimes I play some singleplayers games for variety
Also this is something many may not understand - GW is the game that allows you to enjoy and the same time have your personal time to improve yourself - a game that fits well the future where the man is the goal, not the tool.
Edit: About the last thing, let me add a thought - For example one of the mmorpgs out there is like a FULL TIME JOB, but you pay to play. It is like a machine - you pay, you wor...play, and you are happy. Both sides are satisfied. Some of the players are tired of the same competitive repeating action thou, they play because some have payed and will waste their money if not (yes - there are such players), others play because they know one they stop there won't be going back - all they were fighting for this long may be lost in a matter of days - new items that they will not have, their guild kicks them for inactivity - a blow they fear to take. It is like the players is forced to continue but fear to stop.

I think most people consider prophecies the best because it was the original and it was new.
So everything was like WOW.
I still love Guild Wars. Still one of the best multi player rpg games I've played for just $50.

I'll buy the new GW if they'll finally incorporate penguin pets into the game.
And if I'm still playing GW when the new chapter is released ofcourse.

Since Anet decided they will twist PvE toward PvP i wont buy next chapter.
I dont play PvP so i dont like the new update and the things they did in NF ( except the heroes and hences commands ).
In next chapter i expect more pvp experience and old content warmed up again.
