THE BUILD
This build is not 100% made by me......some of its main features have been thought out and done before by others but quite differently with different proffesions and a few different skills.... This build on this page is MY TWEAKED and My most EFFECTIVE one I have DEVELOPED... NOT MADE LOL, it can take on the trolls and thier bosses by themselves quite quicky. A group of trolls will take about 15 seconds, and the bosses less than 60 seconds each

To Kill Group of trolls:
Leave droknars Cast Armor of mist when your about half way to the cave when you get there cast fire attunment Enter the cave and gather the groups inside before making left or right turns Do the skills In order from 1-6 BUT! Have a 1 second gap between lava font and inferno casts
they should be dead as in video (ignore the mesmer skill)
Bosses group
wait for meteor shower to recharge do the same dmg pattern to the boss and his near trolls as you did earlier but oull them into the tight exit of the cave when the trolls die the boss should be at about 40-50% health
Then to kill the bosses Seperartly that is =]:
Spam Lava Font and cast inferno and mist form when you can Its pretty chaotic but if yo spam lava font he'll run away before he hist you you should be able to spam well with the attunment Keeping the lava font up will kill him quite quicky especialy with combined inferno spams and as for the ranger boss he may seem harder with troll ungeint but those spirit casts sure do take some time (casts lava font
If you wanna take out minos at elonasswap [skill]Armor of Mist[/skill] for [skill]Flame Burst[/skill] forget the one second gap between lavafont and inferno and just cast all the attacks in order, if any left over (unlikely) just recast lavafont and they will be nice and dead quick =]

None of the posted builds are faster or more consistent than these: Trolls, Minos, and Undergrowth (Proph & Factions): 1. Armor of Mist 2. Mist Form [E] 3. Glyph of Sacrifice 4. Meteor Shower 5. Frozen Burst 8. Flame Burst Use Armor of Mist (1) to get to your farming destination quickly and safely. Once you have aggro'd all the trolls or minos in the area, or as many as you comfortable with, simply stop and hit 'C' followed by 2-8. If you don't aggro ALL the minos in elona, I recommend that you pull your minos off to the side before chaining the skills, so you don't get any healthy ones joining halfway through. Note 1) Yes, I keep Armor of Mist for mino runs... the speed boost gets you down to the lake faster, and allows you to aggro a lot of minos before they actually start to follow (just like everything else, I can show you in-game if you don't understand). Note 2) I know Flame Burst is slightly less damage than Inferno, but it more than makes up for it with the extended range. It is not uncommon for an enemy to get caught on something (usually just stuck behind one of its buddies), and the extra range on Flame Burst ensures that everything gets hit by that last damage spike. Nothing has ever lived because Flame Burst lacks that 10 more damage. Also, f you ever need to let out one or two more spells to finish an enemy, Flame Burst has half the recharge time of Inferno. Note 3) This build kills in one simple skill chain. No, it's not quickly repeatable, but it doesn't need to be. The reason for that is simple... it may be fun killing the troll bosses, but it's a huge waste of time. Farming effectively is getting the most cash out of the time you put in. In the minute and a half you spend waiting for meteor shower to recharge so you can nuke the boss, I'm cleaning up after another bunch of 20 trolls. Note 4) The ideal weapon for this is any staff with +20 energy (+10 base, +5>50 inscription, +5 insightful head) and a 20% enchant wrap. You don't need faster cast time, you don't need faster recharge, you don't need armor, you don't need to meet the requirement to do wand damage. There are a few weaponsmiths in NF who can make this for you for 5k + a few cheap materials, and the mods are cheap, too. Or, if you like greens, you can use the Fervorborn Staff or any green Ghostly Staff (Divine, Grim, Inspired, Everlasting). Note 5) Yes, this can be done without using all superior runes, or without having all attribute points, or even without being Ele primary. You can just take a page from the "55 farmers rejoice" thingy and bring Frozen Burst + Mist Form if you want to try to do this with all proph skills.

This works fine with either whirlwind or frozen burst as the snare. Trolls still = bad (but consistent) drops, however i'm just as excited about the xp, as all of my skill points seem to have disappeared since nightfall came out. Good job on the build and the criticisms.

Just to play devil's advocate, a water elite and whirlwind doesn't *really* constitute a pure fire ele.
That being said, I played around with a version of this on minotaurs, and it's a lot of fun. Just make sure you get them all on the first pass, or you'll have a big angry monster smacking you in the head while you try to pick up your loot.

I dropped Lava Arrows for Armor of Mist... speeds up the run
 For any 'cleanup' I just hit Lava Font and WhirlwindEdit: Flame Burst works nicely for that 7th slot for minos, they tend to take 1 more spell to kill and that does it mwpeck
I dont have factions, what could I use to replace Bed of coals....anything? I was thinking of Searing Heat, but it doesnt do near as much damage as bed of coals(i dont think energy will matter too much).

Try this:
Glyph of Sacrifice, Meteor Shower, Mark of Rodgort, Flame Burst, Lava Font, Whirlwind, Inferno, Mist Form Hit mist form and then chain like this: glyph -> shower -> mark -> burst -> lava -> whirlwind -> inferno -> burst I'll try it myself and work out any issues, check back later for an update

Ok, doing The Dragon's Lair right now to get to droks. This should be able to be modified to do it, though.

Trolls? Seriously people trolls give what a max of 2k an hour (not even). If you the cash bad enough be a PvE noob and go find a farm group and if you have NightFall get the wurm and go solo Vah's Hornbow and sell it before it drops in price or use henchman and send them out of range then kill the boss if a wurm is not available (this is how i get most of my greens).

2k/hour?! Counting golds, keys, and collector drops (trade in troll tusks, sell orr emblems to players 80-100g per), I easily get 100k+ per hour rotating between trolls, minos, and gates of kryta. And it's much, much more consistent farming solo than in a farm group or going for 1 green boss, who you would hit farm code on quickly.

No kidding, in pure gold it takes me maybe 4 runs to get 2k.(pure gold as in before selling things) Thats not counting selling the tusks, any keys and of course golds, either.
I dont know about 100k but I havnt farmed trolls that much for some time. Though back before the AoE nerf, I got 1.5k a run, once I got 2 black dyes in just 2 runs. PS: Tain, do you use an ele build, or a 55 build for the GoK runs? cause I have used a 55 that still works for it, but I dont see how an ele could kill all the ranged. Francis Crawford

Putting in a solid hour, you can get a solid 100k.
mwpeck: I use an ele, faster than any other way I've seen it done Just run in, set a Lava Font and spam Flame Burst.. everything dies in <10 secs. If you want the whole build or want to see it work, PM me in-game.Francis: For the Wintersday event, 3 orr emblems = 1 candy cane. They completely remove DP (pve only), and have sold up to 1k each.

I'm having a little trouble understanding the timing.
You cast Meteor Shower. The you hit Bed of Coals. Then you hit Lava Font. Then you hit a snare (Whirlwind). Isn't that a little bit late to be snaring them? And is Whirlwind even a snare at that point, or are they running away? Or do I have the order wrong? Thanks!
