If you are supposed to make a new account name...why does it say:

If it's my account, I'll spell it however the hell I please! :P

I like the idea of this contest, but...

They might have well have asked me to put the numbers 1-32 in a random order. I'll be happy if I score just 1.

Petition to have this on the first post:

1) Your "Account Name" is your Email Address you use for logging into Guild Wars. They use this name to know which account to give access to the weapon choices too. Thats why you cannot misspell it.

2) The "Email Address" is taken seperately because they want you to use a Different Email address than you use to login to Guild Wars...For security reasons.


Also:
It seems noone has gotten a Confirmation Email yet (I haven't either), since it'll be tommorow before you will be able to login and guess.

Also I find it cool that you only need 1 correct guess to get a Green Weapon. Out of 32 Places I'm pretty sure anyone could randomly list the 32 guilds and have a huge chance of getting atleast 1 right lol.

anyone who follows the guild ladder willing to help the community make predictions or give us some some link or place of reference to help us make the predictions I will admit my PvP only extends to halls and RA or TA, I;m not a big follower of the top guilds. Man and unlike fantasy football I dont even know were to begin looking so that I can make atleast a decent guess!

Worked for me registering. When I went to actually pick.. said try later.

Same here...but at least I figured out how to create an account. They really should make it less vague and explain things a little more...

And like BoondockSaint said, can someone please at least give us some hints as to who is likely to win. I really want at least one item, but I don't really think I'll get one if I guess randomly....

I didn't put my login name for "Account Name" and I can't change details or fix registration either. Am I screwed now?


Edit: Perhaps time to create a temp email to correct registration?


Double Edit: Fixed with correct info. I created a Hotmail account to serve as the new side address (Old one couldn't be recycled.) However, because I didn't use my GW Account's login email for the account name the first time, I put that in for "account name" and "Tiresias" for first name and "Hephaestus" for last name. Here's to hoping it works...

I never got a confirmation e-mail either. Yet another snafu.

Edit --> There is now an option to resend the confirmation e-mail. When I clicked that, I got it right away.

No e-mail recieved.. and Btw, For account name do i put a characters name in or my e-mail?

You should be able to register now, but you cannot vote until tomorrow starting at Noon Pacific Time (20:00 GMT). (We changed the time from 12:01 a.m. Pacific because we need a few more hours to get things arranged on the competitors' list.

I just signed up using my Guild Wars account info, if something happens I don't know if I'll be happy or angry.

Still no confirmation email, and it's not sitting in any junk boxes. This is irritating.

Are the prizes going to act like pre-order items, or are they one time things?

I received my email confirmation. It ended up in the spam folder. Perhaps you folks should check there if you haven't already.


Anyway, exciting update. I can't wait to see how this turns out.


Edit: Does anyone know where one will be able to obtain their prizes? The site doesn't say which area you will be able to obtain them in. I assume its an Elona only thing. A confirmation would be nice.

there are xunalai guys in LA, kamadan, and kaineng. (iirc).
