As the thread title implies, I'm a former HA player and I'm leaving the game because of the recent changes anet has made: 6v6 and allowing heroes.
Now, I realize that anet is a business and they're doing what makes them the most money, but I fail to see how destroying HA would make you sell more copies of the game? Sure, compared to PvE player base, PvP is in a minority. Hardcore HA players are a further minority, but if 1% of the players quit the game and 0 additional players join, that's still a loss. That's 1% less sales on chapters 4, 5, 6, etc. (Unlike PvE players, all PvP players who want to keep playing must buy new expansions to remain competitive) And believe me, people had quit. Most of them before me. I don't even see half the people on my friendlist anymore, my guild all but died and I know other HA guilds that simply vanished because their entire roster packed up and left.
Just look at the HA forum under gladiator's arena. Look at the HA forum on gwonline. You'll see what I mean. You pretty much drove away an entire class of players for no gain whatsoever. GJ anet.
I might come back if HA is changed back to 8v8, provided I don't get too commited to WoW or d2 in the meantime.
Thanks for killing HA, anet. Bye.

I think I remember Gaile saying Heroes would eventually be removed from HA, so that's a half-assed reason for leaving. Also, don't expect them to change it back to 8v8.
Have fun paying a monthly fee (WoW) or playing a dying game (D2).
To the OP: believe it or not but a few threads have been posted on this topic already.
When was that again? 2 months ago? 3 months ago? When it was changed.
So if it took you all this time to notice the party size then I guess your departure won't cause many "Restarting timer - no opposite team joined"
PS: is "d2" diablo? I didn't know they still have servers up

I think 6v6 is fine, but but PvP is Player vs PLAYER. I mean all you have to do is bring an interrupt hero and you already have the ungodly advantage of interrupts that never miss. If I want to fight heroes I'll goto the Hero Battles. If I want to fight AI in general I'll just PvE. I agree heroes in HA has taken alot of the fun out of it. No I'm not one of those players who can never beat a hero way and wants to rant about it. But take the first alter map, countless times do I get put up against a hero team and a real team. Then the hero teams tells the other real team, gl in the halls, and just suicides on my team. Sure we kill them, but in that time the other real team can take the alter, setup defenses, and finish us off, as we are still recovering from the fight with heroway.
Well even if they do read it in the wrong forum, are they honestly going to think "Some one that bought all three of our games has quit! We better change it back to 8v8 in case he asks for a REFUND!" So far, the only thing I see that's truly dead in HA is IWAY teams. With two new classes, there are many more build variations coming in and it's still possible to win there with skill.

Sounds like the topic creator needs to stop crying and learn a new way to play the game. I'm pretty sure nothing is getting changed on the account of him leaving. So he either accepts it or finds another game to play. Not every single thing anet does everyone that plays the game is going to love. I'm so tired of everyone complaining about everything all the time. Ever notice that when you complain about a fundamental change to the game, it doesn't get reverted? So that should tell you that crying about it gets you nowhere, and it's time to move on with life.

Tombs is a god damn trash pit.
You know, I used to be commited to getting a tiger but after a month of heroway I simply quit tombs.
No way in hell is the time spent there is worth that anymore because it's not even remotely fun.
Let all the damn PvE scrubs flame me now with their pitiful understanding of "PvP".
