The Ancient Elonian chests in Crystal Overlook have been good for me. Found a Guardian Branch wand for my ele (req 12 though), and a Tidal staff. Okay the second one is not rare but first time I've seen it and it looks nice enough to add to my set. Plus the usual perfect mods.

So far, only one gold - a high req zealous skull flatbow. Six grapes. But I did get a black dye and a green item drop as well as plenty of gold coins, so it's not all bad.

Not too bad. I don't bother with chests unless I get a key drop normally. I bought two Vabbian keys then did the rounds just outside Dzagonur Bastion, and overall I opened 10 chests, had 9 golds, 8 of those chests were opened with keys that dropped from monsters.
And for a change, out of those golds (all max and most with decent mods) four of them were ele weapons. Pity she's packing a load of greens already.
Got plenty of LB points as well.

The weapons looted (gold) were all low stat or high req, but I've gotten many very good inscriptions etc..

Lots of nice things this weekend, I am really pleased except for one item of particular note. I had a req.10 sickle drop from an Ancient chest in Desolation but it won't let me inscribe it?!?! Glitch ftl.

I opened about 105 chests...
Mostly in the Desolation. No real rare skins but I got some kind of axe that looked cool so I modded it up for my warrior. Also got a Crested Machete I plan to mod up as well for my warrior.
Other then that alot of inscriptions, mods, and some pretty sweet protection staffs that earlier I could only dream off.
All in all awesome event. Only downside is almost everyone trying to cash in right away in almost every town.
Reminds me of the triple green weapon where everyone and their mother was selling the Deathbringer at the cementary that Saturday.

I opened mostly Vabbi chests, went from 60 to 134~ on the treasure hunter title and I used up all of my Kourna Coins and Ancient Artifacts to get keys.
I also got a bunch of not-too-bad stuff for my heroes and some pretty good unlocks. I've more than made back all the money I spent on keys (assuming I bother to sell some of the stuff I won't use). My paragon, dervish, and ranger are now *very* happy.

- r9 purple briarwood scythe (not rare, but I really like the skin)

my buddy just got back from france and he and i got beer goggles in a super rare experiance of walking around the city toting bottles of france made chateau saint-clair & chateauneu-du-pape. now back home with 20 piece ckicken nuggets,2 double quarter pounders, a quarter pounder and super size fry which i will never eat tonight. as far as gw i spent 160k in keys and maybe made double that in resale but 19 months of gw and im tired of the b.s. of having to sell stuff....the zzzzzz

since NF release I've had about 25 keys in storage so I took a deep breath and tried them on. Result? Utter crap. 2 gold only, an Earth scroll and a req. 11 spear that I sold to a merchant with the rest of the stuff. Ugh.

I noticed outside DoA that it was hit or miss on gold chests. However I had 100% gold in DoA and I ran around 200 chests there. Considering I have farm code from hell everywhere else (almost grand master treasure hunter) I was tickled to death at all the golds in DoA. Granted the BULK were JUNK with high reqs ... they were at least GOLD and MAX damage for a change So a BIG thank you to Anet for at the very least fluffing my wisdom title.

One dagger with a +30 HP mod. A rune of superior vigor. A max req 9 scythe with no snathe and a crappy salvageable mod. Everything else went straight to the merchant or salvage kit.

I got plenty of golds from the DoA chests, now most of my characters are stuffed with req 9 DoA skins and perfect upgrades, and I'm struggling to sell anything at all. The market seems pretty saturated.

I got my fair share of gold drops... but like 90% of them were caster weapons so go figure. I especially loved all the "I Am Sorrow" inscriptions they had... =/

I opened about 20 Margonite chests, and about 5 Vabbian Chests.
Out of these I got something like 20 golds, including a run of nine golds in a row.
Most were uttely useless, but there were a handful that were nice enough.
A Superior Vigor.
A Rusty Machete, 20/20 Sundering, +5 energy, +5 armour (req 13 though, but nice enough that my Koss is now using it)
A 3/1 Vampiric Spear of some kind that I can't remember the stats of but I thought it was nice at the time.
A +30 health Divine Symbol.
The rest were mainly Flaming Wing Wands.. I seem to be a magnet for those things!
A Guildmate got reasonable +43 enchanted, -5 (19%) Gloom Shield that he sold me cheaply too.
All in all I would say I enjoyed the weekend.
