Timing of Wintersday

So... Wintersday starts tomorrow (whoohoo!)


But when does tomorrow start?

Midnight EST?

Midnight PST?

PST if I'm not wrong.

Being based in Washington, all of Anet's times are PST (or GMT, when noted).

There's a 99% chance that they will start the event early. (since they released NF and DoA early. ArenaNet likes releasing things earily).

I'm going to assume it will follow the Halloween 2006 schedule and start at 12AM PST, which would make it 3AM EST for all us east coast Guildies.

...and I plan to stay awake the entire night!

Midnight PST works out at 7pm here in Aus (Eastern States). Perfect time to start

Well, if it's supposed to be out at midnight PST, it's late.

Well I hear noon time for people. We'll see. Until then...a lot of people are in LA dist 5, dancing for snow.

How fun, that the hype and anxiety for Wintersday is causing more player interaction than the actual event.

anet and holiday events.......they can never get them right

Its 12:40 and nothing yet...

Sob. Been waiting 40mins to start my Wintersday candy-cane Grind.

So far I've seen theories ranging from "It starts at 12 noon!" to "Press Alt+F4 to start Wintersday!". Some people are also pretending to be Anet employees and talking about power outages and server problems :S

My theory is it will be added right after improvements to trade

when will it start?! i woke up early just for this

I've also heard 12 noon PST but those could be rumors. ANet should have posted a specific time on their page just like with previous events. I've been in LA for the past 1 1/2 hours running around and partying on the boat which is still going on atm with no "A new build is up" messege popping up so I'm going to bed.

ive been playing for the last 3 hours, and nothing happened, god, im sad .
why isnt it start yet dammit
