Nobody mentioned the new Auction system yet?

It's not an auction house per say, but it should hopefully cut down on the spam and help people sell and buy things easier.
It could be used as a type of auction system, users will have to keep updating thier ad with the latest bids.
When it comes to an actual auction system most users want something like available in other mmos like SWG where you goto the auction system, put it in and then leave it and you do not have to stay there to keep it going. You can go offline or continue playing and come back to it at a later time.
Such a feature would be a welcome addition but i think what they have added today will help immensely and i hope it gets used to it's full potential.

Yay, less spam.
Happy that the reconnects is live, especially because my PC runs like a rusty clock.
Crashed a few times in gate of pain when i had made some progress and not wiped, which is... "inconvenient".
Nice little update Anet but i'm still waiting for the hunt the evil santa quest. Spotted somewhere in the world...go find him!

I was pretty hasty in my original post, but with additional review I've found the following.
It seems to list all entries for a given city, however not including international if you are in a local district and vice versa.
There seems to be no filter for each of the four types: mission, quest, hunting, trade. No tab as mentioned above - serving the same purpose. We'll see how much this is needed in time.
People are using the hunting channel for such things as guild recruitment, WTS, and other non-sensical comments (that will hopefully go away after the newness wears off).
People don't appear smart enough to use the trade option for WTS and WTB. I guess this shouldn't surprise me, but it does.
You only see the leader of the party and number of heroes - you don't see other human party members, although you can whisper that person easily enough, I suppose.
These points are not criticisms, but merely observations. I'm sure in time we'll have our thoughts for ANet, but for now, kudos - it seems like a nice feature.
