Another 'double' weekend: Double XP for Elite Skill Caps

Something for all campaigns to enjoy!

Well, perhaps it's not as great as some of the other weekends we've had, but... 10k experience isn't bad if you want to earn your skill points back

I had just set up my heros and was about to go capping after I got the kids some lunch. I come back and refresh GWG and THIS is what I see! Bleh now I have to wait >_<
Not that I am ungreatful, but I WAS SO READY FOR ONCE!
YAY FOR DOUBLE XP!

I had been burning off my Necro's skill points. Every time I got one I would go and use a cap signet. Now I don't have to quest for the next one. Archer's Signet and Shroud of Silence here I come. Ill be trying for Tier 4 this weekend.

Haven't we already had a weekend similar to this one before? Another weekend I won't need, but still, good for whoever needs exp.

ugh..again?this is slightly useless as double scroll drop....

This isn't useless, its for anyone wanting to skill cap, and not have to grind additional skill points in order to do so.


My guess is this week or next the new Skill titles will be in...thats most likely why they brought this weekend in again.

This is actually one of my favorite double weekends. Too bad they decide to do this after I already get Legendary Survivor on my dervish. Oh well, I got it anyway.

I don't want any more experience increase. no. no more. experience increase, uh uh. no double triple or quadruple experience increase. no.

how about Double Experience XP and 20,000 gold per elite skill caps?

This is FAR more usefull than any of those pointless 2x faction, 2x fame or any of the other 2x only pvp weekends we have had.

Uh nice I guess. I'm still wondering what to do with the 300+ skill points my warrior has (yes I got all skills)

Well you....You could always....maybe if...nope, every time i read that announcement i cant seem this shake off this strong feeling of lame

I just can't believe that there are people who are actually complaining about another special weekend.

Anet are giving us something extra for nothing here, you do know it's easier for them to do nothing that to give us special weekends/events continually.

If you don't care then ignore it and play normally.
If you like it then great.

This thread should be turned into a positives only like some of the posters have.
There are legitimate gripes with the game/Anet but this is definitely not one of them...

Good job Anet - even though this doesn't make a big difference to me it's nice to have lots of special weekends. Keep it up.

Anyhow, no more XP weekends it's utterly useless. I have zillion of unspent skill points. Give me x2 gold drop weekend instead.

And we already had this weekend before, it was dull.

Hurray, time to cap some elites and gain levels at the same time!

I'm not a computer programmer, but I don't think it's very difficult or consequental to change a number from "5000" to "10000" in the database.

Whatever happened to that thread about suggestions to use for Weekend Events? And why hasn't ArenaNet used any of them?

People will complain about anything, won't they? So what exactly would be worthwhile to you? Do you realize that what may be worthwhile to you, may not be to someone else? Just as this is very worth it to some people as it is not to you. The solution is play as normal and don't worry about it.

I, for one, am looking forward to it. Indomitable survivor, here I come!

I'll agree with the 2x faction weekends. Those have been useless to me ever since I got all my unlocks a month ago and have maxed out my faction. There should be a way to spend faction even if the skills are unlocked. Or at least keep accumulating so that the running total doesn't lock.

I disagree with the 2x fame thing. That would be a nice weekend as well.

Well, this is great for people that want to work on their survivor titles or need skill points.
