For reasons unknown...I have been free of the Error 7's for the last 3 play sessions.

I hope Anet will fix this soon I'm sick of playing on international district all the times; where this, oddly enough, doesn't happen!

Yes, it does.
It happened to me yesterday. Lucky me that's the only time it's happened since I've heard about this bug and only did it twice before I figured it was probably the bug thing.

I actually received an email from Support today. They said they're aware of this problem and they're looking into it.

...
I went ahead and re-installed all three games yesterday. Since then, I haven't fallen victim to anymore 007 errors. Hopefully, they've stopped for me.

Edit: The 007 errors are back. :|

Interesting bug this is, to bad it doesn't seem to affect me. Everything works fine for me, has been for months. Wonder what the cause is, wonder if its network specific or hardware specific.

Maybe you guys should list your hardware, locations, and Internet Service providers to see if there is a similarity among them all.

I've already reported this issue to Ncsoft, through the Guild Wars website links.

Since about Wednesday morning I've barely been able to get anything accomplished. On Wednesday I recieved this error while walking through all portals leading into the Mirror of Lyss. I wouldn't even make it to the loading screen; I'd simply enter the portal, my computer would freeze for a second, and I would be error=007'd.

It became progressively worse over the remaining days up to this point. I had no issues for about an hour with my elementalist, but I logged out and switched over to a newly made monk character and have been unable to leave the Shing Jea Monastery since. At the zone I encounter the same problem.

Today it's happening across all characters, when I attempt to walk through just about any zone - I can't say "every zone" since I haven't attempted every single zone in the game, but each and every city I've attempted to exit into an explorable area has been one I'm stuck in, because I can't seem to make it through the portal without getting an err=007.

I've had more knowledgeable folks look over my internet connection, as well as my computer. The problem doesn't seem to be on my end. I've attempted to access my account through other computers in my and one friend's home, and have been recieving the same error.

For now I've resolved not to play until an update fixing this issue comes about; it's been such a hassle that I've lost interest in fighting it. Poor me, no Guild Wars for a little while. =[

Was just playing gw and had an update. restarted gw and seems to have taken care of the problem. Woohoo, tried this at several locations, monestary, marga coast exit from sunspear sanctuary, kodash, all seem to work for me now. Thank you Anet for fixing this I love you!

You are missing the whole point of my post. Your friends live where,? Use who as a service ? Just because you test random machines that return the same result does not mean there is no issue. Internet connectivity is more then just a connection to your provider. Its also the routes that your datagrams take. In order to better isolate the problems that people are experiencing it is far more efficient to include information on who your service provider is and what your system looks like then simply complaining in thread, after thread, after thread. Not all services employ static or dynamic routes. If we can help isolate a service provider or providers that are experiencing the bulk of the problem we may better be able to locate the node in route that is causing the problem if it is indeed a network issue as goes the same for hardware and its associated software components. I am not disregarding the fact that bugs can and do occur in development. My point is, it does no one any good to simply say, "oh yea I have the same problem," but provide no information what so ever in regards to what your system configurations and services look like. Take note of the IP address of the game server you are on prior to entering a portal using the little diagnostics bubble, log the time and date to isolate potential data center issues.

Simply reporting the error over and over without more information results in no solution at all. Look, Not to be crude but no is really interested in how knowledgeable someone you know or I know is about network connectivity or hardware configurations, with bugs and error reports you can be a rocket scientist and miss the obvious. The more information we can bring together the better the chances are that we can eliminate potential causes for the whole of a greater good. There is obviously something more to this then simply a bug with in the software, as there are users like me who have played for hours upon hours without ever seeing the issues you have all described.
