R Spike is fairly decent already, so I've got a sinking suspicion that we don't get a huge step up on bow skills. I think improving preps alone would be a good step (even at a higher energy cost to offset R secondaries). Honestly I think the only way for bows to get better damage without imbalancing the PVP metagame is to tie something like a significant criticals buff to the expertise attribute.

Nope, pinesouls just have determined shot, but they WILL miss on purpose, then lay another barbed trap.

Whered did you get that info btw Snipious? The homepage? Yea I imagine they'll be flattened out instead of having a few powerful ones, hopefully we'll have a balance field of skills. Rather than play with damage/recharge/cost... I hope they really consider chaning some of the mechanics of the weaker bow attacks to add diversity.

As for the info... Gaile Grey Posted it in the Riverside.

I wouldn't be surprised if they nerfed Burning Arrow. Nowadays it's somewhat rare to see a bow ranger without that skill.

Sure your not talking about Jade Bows? Even if they do have 0 expertise for some completely unknown reason... No...I just got skills and enemies completely mixed up =S

I rarely use Burning arrow i prefer to use several other elites although i think its a great skill id rather use some of the others simply because i like them more and they fit nicely with what im doing.

Over the coarse of playing gw the main attack skills (non elite) ive used are Hunters shot, penetrating attack and screaming shot.

Hunters shot is nice were there are lots of moving targets than are susceptible to bleeding like Ascalon etc.
Penetrating shot works in high AL areas such as The Fire Islands.
Screaming shot works nicely where there are non moving creatures that are bleed possible.

Out of those Penetrating shot is probably the one ive used the most, infact i think ive had it with me atleast 75% of the time ive played gw and thats quite a few hours.

I suspect Keen Arrow is going to get a nerf when the balance ranger skills.

Its really too powerful in comparison. Chances are its unconditional +x damage is going to get nerfed (maybe to increase its conditional +x damage). It does slightly less damage than most of other bow attacks for less energy or equal damage for the same energy and gets a massive boost if it criticals. I mean +58 damage for a 5e skill is a little much. I'll be sad to see it go (unless they decide to buff other skills instead).

^ I'll admit that Keen Arrow hasn't left my bar at all lately. It's really good.

If they do touch it, I imagine it'll at least be raised to 10 energy. I think it's one of the few bow attacks that makes Power Shot useless. Keen is only 5 less dmg, but also 5 less energy, and has the same recharge. Keen can do massive dmg if it's a crit hit though. That seems a tad bit unbalanced if you ask me.
