I had a really weird problem this morning. I was in Kamadan (europe d1) and messaged a person for a trade. Then I waited... and waited... and noticed that something seemed to be wrong. All the spam in the local and trade channels had suddenly almost stopped and barely anyone was moving. I could move around completely normally though. I checked my friend's list, and it had a button that said I'd disconnected from it. No pop-ups telling me about it, I wouldn't even have noticed the disconnection if I hadn't checked my friends list. Well, I pressed the button and got the reconnect box. I typed in my password.... and got an error, something about my internet connection not functioning properly and being unable to connect (don't remember the error number, I was in a hurry so I could catch the trade).
All this time it looked like I was still ingame, except I couldn't send any messages to anyone. I could still move around though. Well, I tried again, and got the same error. I checked my internet connection and it was working fine. I had to completely log out and log back in before the game worked again properly. Missed the trade though.
Anyway, I had a lot of error 040 a few days ago, but everything's been working fine during the weekend. I live in Finland too and a few days ago pretty much all of my guild had connection issues, but nobody has been complaining during the weekend.

I'm on the Euro Servers and in England.
I had a lot of connection issues over the weekend, but the worst was last night (19th Feb) from 6pm to 11pm (when i was playing). Almost every time i left a town i got 'error code =007', and to say the least it was annoying.
It wasnt just me, but a lot of my Guild members from England too.
This seems to be better this morning when i played before work (7.30am to 8.30am), but then there are a LOT less people playing on the servers.

Edit: I forgot to mention the lag as well. All weekend the ping count was terrible and i suffered from huge amounts of lag and this continued on Monday Night. My PC shouldnt be the issue with 2048MB Ram, Core Duo processor and 512 ATI Graphics card.

Okay. I live in Australia I was waiting 1/2 hr to connect to an area. Not to mention, Blurry icons/Guildless issues (previously mentioned) Also huge PING counts. I'm sure having a ping as high 27,980 isn't good since it used to be 435-549. What's been happening in there?

Just had a couple of drops while gvging: once was at 9:35pm PST and another at 9:44pm PST. three other members of our guild either had severe lag or disconnected. I'm in Northern California, and we're all in PST time zone.

I Play from California, on the american servers and yesterday at 10:30 pm PST I got an err 7 trying to watch a match in observer mode. Then again at 11:00 pm PST. i recived an err 19 while sitting in my guild hall chatting with people.
Not to mention the unbelivable lagg that im having with the game no matter where i am. Ive noticed alot of my european buddies switching from their European Servers to the american servers to cut down on the amount of times that they are being kicked. It may not be the reason why the american servers are now starting to Lagg unbelivably but im guessing it might have somthign to do with it. i dunno. Either way, its starting to suck, including the fact that my guild is in the Tourney, and most all of my guildies are worried about what might happen should one of us err 19 or err7 and not be able to reconnect. Its worrysome, for everyone playing in the tournament. You can have the best build, the best players, get a person who cant reconnect to the game after disconnect, and lose big time. (Would it be possible to allow that person to be replaced by a computer controlled henchman if that does happen mid match?)

Howdy, Well i was readin through this thread and even though the lag and the problems have been on European servers. But infact i play from California, and i play on the American servers, In 30 minutes between 10:30 & 11:00 i got an err code 7 and err code 19, i was able relog quickly. but when these happened i was sitting in my guild hall, going into watch a match on observer mode. I was lagging last night on the American server. Was doing quests outside monastery and get hit by lag spike every 2 to 3 minutes. Three times where I was disconnected.

Again, more problems this morning. Mornings are normally fine, but today i kept getting disconnects and error code = 007's.

But… I tried looking up that same IP Address using GeoIP, and it does return a location in the USA (more precisely: Chewelah, WA). But this could just indicate that GeoIP doesn't have updated information on that netblock.

Oh, and since we're talking about location… I'm in Brazil, playing on American servers (I think. Server IP is in 216.* block, can't remember the exact address now).
I've been experiencing really bad connection/lag issues in the past few weeks, exactly like described by ArenaNet for European servers. Big lag spikes (30k ping) every 5 minutes or so are making the game almost unplayable. Whatever the problem is, it's affecting more than Europeans only, and I hope it's fixed soon.

Wednesday evening at around 23 GMT +1 (norwegian time) my whole guild had issues. we were on our way to DoA with 6 ppl in a party and 5 of them got errs40, 13 and 7 and couldnt log in for about 15-20mins. I was the lucky one, only guild chat, whispers and guild list completely stopped working for me... I had to close program and log in again to fix it. When I got back in the entire guild had dropped out... When we finally got to DoA there were a lot of people having experienced the same errors.
We've also been getting the guildless and online/offline/char switching bugs quite a lot lately, but I can't remember times etc.. Esp guildless is really not nice when new members think they've been kicked and go find another guild :/
Edit: members are on EU servers: UK, Norway, Netherlands, Poland (could be some more but i forgot who else was online at the time...)

The Server Team is on this issue. It appears to be an issue that is different than the one that appeared last week. The research right now is focused on determining if this is isolated to an individual server or if there is a group of servers involved. We do not have a ETR (estimated time of repair) for this just yet, but there are many people working on it and we hope to be able to provide more information soon.

now i log on fine, but guild takes awhile to load but vanishes whenever i map somewhere (outpost or explorable) between 1-5 minutes i think, also getting the message that i cannot travel to the guild hall whenever i try to and that outpost has disappeared from my map of the Battle Isles. guild chat is also lagged to me, takes around 30-60 seconds for my sentence to show up if at all.
hope this issue gets resolved once and for all T_T

Well, not long after 8pm here (7pm GMT) it starting messing around for me. I stopped playing 25 mins later...symptoms: I couldn't use alliance chat, guild screen empty,being effectively guildless, alliance chat would not show my messages. It seemed that every time I went through a portal or traveled to another town it was slightly different.
So I stopped playing for today and hope it's better tomorrow...
When did it start? I did the Vizunah square mission (foreign district) and of course there was one person who had to see the movie...as cantha movies take 2 hours each I decided to log out. I pressed F12 and selected change character. I reselected my ranger and ended up in Vizunah square again but without alliance chat and an empty guild screen...I logged out of the game completey twice but to no avail. But when moving to Kaneing suddenly everything worked again...I went outside to Buckdek and it was messed up again...after going back and forth a few times I found out my guildies had similar problems....
So I stopped playing for today and hope it's better tomorrow...

Last night i had constant problems from 6pm (GMT) onwards. I'm on the Euro Servers England.
I kept getting error code =040 and =007. Also, i kept losing my guild (cape, hall and chat).
This morning seemed better again.

Same problems last night (22-24 in GMT+1). Guild was on and off every few minutes. I got a couple of error 040 and error 007. After it started working again alliance chat went all weird. Messages to it were delayed or laggin for 5 minutes or so (Everything typed to that chat was displayed 5 minutes later).

My experience with the guild roster happened a week or two ago. I haven't seen it come up at all lately. Here I thought it had been solved way back then

Been getting err 40's on the Euro servers again for the past ten to fifteen minutes. Once I was inside a town and it booted me straight to the login screen without an error message.
